We’re thrilled to be hosting the talented Folic State who’s been reppin’ our sounds across incredible India, and has recently joined the tribe with his release ‘Dark Matter’, on the latest chapter of our ‘From the Swamp’ VA. 
Regarded as one of the Indian dance world's most venerated lurkers, he has played a vital role in shaping the minimal & psy techno scene for over a decade and we are absolutely honored to have him onboard for this adventure.

About the artist:
Folic State is regarded as one of Indian dance world’s most venerated lurkers. He has played a vital role in shaping the minimal & psy techno scene in India for over a decade. An illustrious producer, his music explores the tension between light and dark, formulating expansive soundscapes among warm, driving percussion. The enigmatic producer has been producing top dance tracks for the last few years, which has won him a strong fan base both, locally and globally. Be it his DJ sets or productions, Folic State weaves a story of sound; decidedly buoyant through its moments of clarity, pensive and introspective when concealed.

Digital Diamonds feature ASH ROY in this episode. Ash Roy’s two-decade career has established him as one of the most progressive and respected artists in techno. His style blends minimalism, techno, and a touch of psychedelia, elegantly tied together with percussion. Active in Germany and India’s underground scene, he’s performed hybrid sets across Europe, Australia, the USA, and Asia.  His releases on labels like Dark Face Recordings, AlpaKa Muzik, Trapez, Techgnosis, and many others showcase his deep love for minimal techno. Ash has earned recognition as MyFav India's 'Best Techno DJ' (2014), VH1 Sound Nation's 'Best Electronic DJ,' and 'Producer of the Year' at MyFav awards (2015 and 2016). His work has been featured in Mixmag, Rolling Stone, DJ Mag NL, Faze Mag, and Euphoric Mag.  Ash debuted at Netherland’s Awakenings in 2017 and returned the following year. In 2019, he performed at Esoteric Festival in Australia, kicking off a 6-show tour. He played on Turmbühne at Fusion Festival 2021 and debuted at Wurzel Festival, Germany.  In summer 2022, he performed at events like Hai In Den Mai Festival, Fusion Festival, Master of Puppets (Czech Republic), Château Perché (France), and many more.  In 2013, Ash launched Soupherb Records, now India’s top minimal techno label, with over 130 releases from global artists.

Perth based Brisbane export Kinimal is the Aussie A&R for Canadian label; Techgnosis Records and the newly Reborn partner label Cold Groove Records and over the past 7 years has unearthed many Aussie artists playing a pivotal role in growing the Techgnosis fan base, showcasing the immense talent we have in our own backyard!

2025 Kinimal is back touring already playing dates in most states, also recently performing in Brisbane for Murky/5th Dimensions & an exciting Warehouse event TBA for another premium Brissy Crew coming up in August.
