Fernanda was born and raised in Mexico City but moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. 
Upon graduation, she started her career in NYC working as an assistant in recording studios and later developed as a songwriter for cartoons and jingle production. At the same time she was playing with her electro-pop band Uli & The Gringos and taught music production at the Institute of Audio Research.
She later was invited to be a band member of Mexican pop star Julieta Venegas, and did her first world tour and played in events such as the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo and the Latin Grammys. 
After the tour she moved to Los Angeles and worked and released her first solo album entitled Atoma, later a Polka EP and played regularly in the US and Mexico.
A few years later she started her career in theater and independent film. She acted in a couple American indie films and wrote and played two short plays in Mexico. 
This influenced her music because three years ago she founded a band called The Mexican Standoff. A socially conscious theatrical band that sings in both English and Spanish, and celebrates the bi-culture and folk music from the US and Mexico.  
Fernanda currently lives in Mexico City and Los Angeles, directs music videos for other artists and plays internationally with The Mexican Standoff.
