This is an older song of mine that I just brought back out as it is that time of year and I was just feeling inspired to play it and re-record it. So here it is. Autumn, 2023. I might've first written it when I was 28? But have hardly ever played it live.

One of the first songs I ever wrote. Still feels poignant and relevant every time I sing it. I live a life both lost to the modern world while being fully engulfed by it.

This was written during three blissful winters spent snowed in in a little cabin in the woods. Nothing to do but write, photograph, play music, and ski. For 8 months.

Solo rendition of the arrangement that I'd come up with for this song which I'd written years prior, and which I'd finished writing while watching the sun rise and the moon set from my tailgate in the mountains of Death Valley National Park. A band version of it was released on Sweetwater String Band's album "At Night" in 2017.
