2lanes(@2Lanes), based out of Detroit, provides a DJ-ready remix of Nelic Spore for the Unknown Mobile's (@unknown-mobile) Aurora Remixed. 

Infusing the opening track of the album with smoked-out beats and unfiltered bass. A driving and grooving track sure to be heard in late-night twisted and wicked DJ sets. 

Aurora Remixed comes out May 4th on Quern Records, 2Lanes remix is also featured on a limited edition lathe-cut 12" alongside Khotin's remix.

Glances make music for the head and the body. Inspired by the UK’s rich lineage of sound system music and a shared love of off-kilter sound design, the pair have released music on taste-making labels such as Wisdom Teeth, Idle Hands, Fever AM and Scuffed Recordings, landing spins on BBC Radio 1, Rinse and NTS, and support from Pearson Sound, Batu and Surgeon.

We're extremely excited to have the duo contribute to the series, displaying a previously unrevealed part of their musical palette.

Through a series of mixtapes, Folli Projects will aim to explore the duality of creatives within the realm of DJing and provide a platform for artists to showcase a side of their music that wouldn’t typically be displayed within the context of a club set - lifting the veil.

Australia is pushing things forward in the best way. For a long time the country self confessed to feelings of isolation and disconnection from the broader world of electronic music. Taking things into their own hands, this has very much changed and in all honesty some of the best and most exciting DJ’s are really down under.

SLG is a record label run by Strict Face – a producer and DJ who is helping to push a new wave of Bass music. It’s hard hitting, off piste and all over the place – moving quickly between tempos with jarring, disjointed sound design it’s fast paced and exciting.

This mix is very much a testament to that frenetic energy.

Based in Adelaide, he represents a new school of thought and is giving things a much needed shake up.

Nick León (@NICKLEON) is an artful DJ and producer from Miami who has always operated at the experimental fringes of electronic music. Though he has always pushed at the boundaries he never fully loses sight of the dance floor while colliding reggaeton, techno, ambient, dubstep and hip-hop. He is a frequent collaborator and something of an album specialist who most recently took inspiration from Florida’s diverse sub-aquatic ecosystems on his superb Projections of a Coral City album alongside Coral Morphologic.

Nick will be joining us at Dekmantel Festival 2024 and this week's mix is a great way to keep you going until then. It's an hour of loose-limbed and largely genre-less rhythm with a naturalistic feel. There's a blend of filtered and futuristic voices and centuries-old dancing rituals that take you to the heart of an ancient rainforest, all with his signature Latin flavours and an undercurrent dembow-laced beats.
