SmRt AleC is no newcomer to the Underground Chicago Electronic Scene. Currently a Co-founder of Chicago’s own Braintrust Collective, SmRt (formerly known as Oswald) got his start in 2014 as one half of the DJ Duo NATIVE.
Sharing the stage with artists like Ty Dollar $ign, Walker & Royce, Chance the Rapper, and Zedd, SmRt pushes the boundaries of beat production and live mixing, effortlessly blending different genres and sounds.
From Northcoast Music Festival to various venues and DIY spaces across the city and nation, SmRt finds the perfect balance between his humble roots in hip-hop sound and culture and electronic genres such as Acid House, Trap Bass, UK Garage/Dub, & DnB.
This artist continues to make waves in the Chicago Electronic Music Scene and further, blessing us with one sonic experience after the other.
