The Echo Society is a Los Angeles based collective of like-minded composers, musicians and artists who gather together to share new sonic and visual art locally.

This track is from the first installment entitled "Winter" which was recorded live to a sold out theater in LA on 12/12/13. It featured a 10 piece chamber ensemble with electronics.

Inspired in equal parts by John Luther Adams, Spiritualized, Etta James and Gavin Bryars, 'Colourfield - Prelude', signals Dan Michaelson's first release as an instrumental artist. Though better known for his solo albums of dark, Americana tinged reflection, Dan is no stranger to instrumental music, having spent the past few years creating scores for film (Blowin' Up, 2018) and television (Detectorists Series 1, 2 & 3, 2016-2018), whilst gradually building confidence with orchestra.
“Whilst working on the orchestral palette of those albums, I fell in love with the likes of John Adams, Steve Reich, Anna Thorvaldsdottir and Caroline Shaw". 'Colourfield - Prelude' sees Dan work closely with violist and conductor of the London Contemporary Orchestra Robert Ames and violinist Galya Bisengalieva.

Follow The Compass is an instrumental music outfit based in St. Petersburg, Russia, comprising the front man Alex, who plays bass and Ksenia on keyboards. Sourcing their inspiration in the sounds of nature, these musicians enable their listeners to tune their own senses to the harmony of the surrounding environment.
