From ancient sea shanties to southern gothic ballads. Haunting indie folk to full power 90’s feminist sass. Message from the Ravens are the girl band who sing the lost stories that the ravens have witnessed since the dawn of time.

United by their love of myths, magic and literature the girls create an enchanting show that’s filled with passion and harmony, their songs possessing “More hooks than a fishing boat”, (Eddie - Kid Kapichi). Drawing influence from the mysticism of Fleetwood Mac and the storytelling of First Aid Kit, their sound is earthy and visceral. Onstage, the audience will not only be moved by their folklore narrative, ethereal vocals and sincerity, but also witness their love for each other, their humour and their deep connection with the spiritual world.

Message from the Ravens have had an exciting few years playing festivals including Greenman (where their set on Chai Wallahs stage was featured on Steve Lamacq’s Roundtable), Shambala, Boomtown, Secret Garden party to name a few. Their debut single ‘Jupiters Tears’ was described by Tom Robinson as immense and played on BBC 6music. Their live single ‘Shivers and Thorns' was recently Track of the week on BBC Introducing CI (accompanying an interview and live session) and they are currently recording their debut album. MFTR have just supported Nova Twins on their Brits week show for War child with stellar reviews.

Hailing from Hastings, the band was created one drunken night by Siddy Bennett, the former lead singer of Indie-folk band Wildflowers (who supported the likes of Robert Plant and George Ezra). Message from the Ravens members are: Siddy on guitar and kazoo, Hannah Dennard on organ and flute, Lily Kim on rhythm guitar and Philly Piggott on drums. All four women contribute to lead vocals and intricate 4-part harmonies.
