Synthwave is the soundtrack of a future that never happened, but that we wish had happened. Many films tell the story of this possible future, which may even have gone unnoticed by all of us.The musical genre is inspired by the sounds of the '80s and '90s, which at the time “jumped” from the soundtracks of many of these films, from Sunday TV series in Brazil, games, and even electronic components from that era.I will mention a few examples here that you probably don't know yet: the movie Clueless, Back to the Future, Flashdance, and the series MacGyver. All of them present a nostalgic vision of a future imagined in the '80s.
