A fortunate happening indeed.... The Fortuitous formed in the Fall of 2011 when the four core members of a regionally touring reggae/funk band decided to take their musical expression to a higher level. Fusing elements of rock, blues, funk, jazz, soul, samba, reggae, and electronic music, the sound emitted by the quartet finds its way to the core of nearly every listener as it balances between the comfortably familiar and the intriguingly neoteric. Even though The Fortuitous is a fresh name, members Alexander Olsen (keys/vocals), Matthew Summers (guitar/vocals), Tanner Farmen (drums/vocals), and Dan Finch (bass/vocals) are well accustomed to sharing large stages and traveling long distances with their numerous other projects.
