When Footjob label owner @phonk-d collaborates with his long time studio buddy @saschaciminiera, things turn out to be a bit deeper. 

On this EP they present three rather experimental house tracks that have been produced a few years ago already during their joint sessions at Pallasstudio.

Dusty MPC drums merge with raw synthesizer sounds to create a rough atmosphere. Accents are set by moody vocal samples and effects that complete the whole thing to a rugged picture.

It took some time for this EP to finally see the light of day, but as the German saying goes:
„Good things come to those who wait“

Phonk D's Disco Goodies was released on NDYD Records in 2019 and is now available as a re-release on Footjob. From 'Talking Vintage', an quite energetic floor-filler with a feel-good sound thanks to the percussions that will last in your memory for some time, to 'Gettin' Down', a homage to the French 70's on the southern shores of the Cote d'Azur, the charismatic producer keeps the level at the very top of the game. Next one is a funky ride with the pumping disco-sensation 'Can Do It' while 'Disco Africana', with its lovely afro disco-touch rounds up the picture of the 27th release on the German label from the city of Darmstadt.

With Lukas Lehmann, a new face joins the footjob-squad. Out of his estimated 7.436 unfinished projects, he managed to complete three tracks, bag a remix and bundle it all up to what will hit the stores as 'This Is Why' EP. The A-Side kicks off with the discoish banger 'Q&H' and a beautiful synth-heavy remix by Lorenz Rhode - not only famous for his releases on Compost Records or Exploited but also for taking Detroit-Swindle-Liveshows to another level with his godlike keys-skills. The deeper side of Lukas' sound is represented on the B-Side. Starting with edgy piano chords, 'Solid/Fragile (Coexistence)' introduces an enchanting arpeggio midway through the track. With its distinctive strings, 'Nothing But A Heartache' makes for a semi-sentimental yet still hips-moving finisher.
