Following the success of "Mehlish", his debut album released in 2021, Big Dope P is back with "Toto La Castagne", his sophomore album named after one of his childhood nicknames to be released on May 10th. This new LP takes us on a dynamic journey from raw club beats to smoother grooves, all while maintaining a cohesive thread that is unmistakably Big Dope P. His unique and instantly recognizable production style shines through, blending Funky French Boogie sounds with elements of Chicago Juke, UK Drill, and Filtered House across 13 tracks, with an additional 2 bonus offerings. Collaborations abound on "Toto La Castagne," featuring an impressive lineup that includes Footwork originator TRAXMAN, Drill legend KATIE GOT BANDZ, visionary Spanish artist BFLECHA, UK Rap royalty LITTLEZ from SMOKE BOYS (formerly SECTION BOYZ), NOISIA's THYS, and Japanese dance maestro GUCHON. Released under Moveltraxx, a label co-founded by Doppie in Paris 17 years ago at the tender age of 16, the album pays homage to the label's pioneering role in introducing the Juke/Footwork/Jersey club sound to Europe. Having dropped the first non-USA releases of iconic artists like DJ RASHAD and DJ TAMEIL, the label continues to make waves from its current base in London.
