Après sa participation à notre plébiscité EP Various “Club Drums vol.1”, nous sommes ravis d’accueillir Tim Karbon pour un EP solo sur notre label. Le Montreuillois mêle avec habileté des percussions aux penchants UK Funky/Drums avec un attirail de sonorités rave et breakbeat.

Son “Acabaile EP” consiste en trois tracks taillées pour les dancefloors, aux rythmes sauvages saupoudrés de breakbeats, et accompagnées d’un remix dancehall mental et profond signé Stacktrace, auteur du précédent EP sur Egregore Collective.

After taking part in our rather successful “Club Drums vol.1” Various EP, we’re thrilled to have Tim Karbon for his first solo outing on our label. Hailing from Montreuil, France, he is an adept of fresh blends of UK Funky/Drums percussions, infused with rave sounds and textures, as well as a dash of breakbeats.

His “ACABAILE EP” consists of three dancefloor-tailored tracks filled with savage rhythms and drum breaks, rounded off by a clever and deep dancehall remix by our own Stacktrace, who produced the previous EP on Egregore Collective.

Tim Karbon - Boiling Mafé Bowl (Stacktrace Dancehall Remix)

Following on from his debut LP 'Garden Reach' in 2016, 'Koriko' is a tale of rediscovery- and the latest offering from UK based producer G3. 

This is just a taste of an EP born out of a time when he had moved away from his hometown and into the capital, where his range of influences and experiences widened- across the 5 tracks 'Koriko' continues to explore some of the ideas heard on 'Garden Reach', only this time more realized. Fusing together elements of Electronica, Grime, Dubstep and Footwork into a world of his own. 'ø' is the EP opener and nod to the event of the same name run by Kode9 - a spot in London where G3 can often be found, soaking up sound and cultivating new ideas. 'Coming Up, Yuliya' and 'I Drink Your Milkshake' are the more energetic cuts. 'aRby' is new territory for G3 in its slow and despondent tone - the main synth melody created from a sample of the British TV show, can you guess it? ;) 'Umami' which concludes the project, again new territory at 160bpm is a glossy yet minimalistic interpretation of Chicago footwork. 

We have also doubled down on this on one with some stellar remix work from some of the finest around. Japanese legend Daisuke Tanabe, Parisians, DeGrandi, and Amor Satyr.

“I had a lot of fun working with this selection, especially because there are a lot of tracks I would be quite nervous about mixing at the events/live, not only from a purely technical point of view but also because at many events that I play I unnecessarily pressure myself to stay within the 'required/expected genres', especially if I play on a mainly cis male line up. Whereas in reality, mixing the genres up and creating a narrative is my favourite part of DJing! I am starting the mix with Arca's recent release 'Nonbinary', which feels very personal to me, coming out as non-binary not too long ago. To some extent, I feel this mix explores my own gender identity, and overall emotional state at the moment, - going from intense, to dancey and upbeat, to dark, and to deconstructed.
With this mix, I felt very liberated to explore my own music taste and show the versatility of what I am into.”

CDMX Queen Smurphy releases her new Bokeh Versions EP "Spheres of Consciousness," flexing 5 ardkore x juke inspired helium neck-snappers transporting you to a higher states.The Spheres of Consciousness EP represents a rising up, an embracing of life. 
We’re lucky to be hearing from the NAAFI / Leaving Records affiliated, CDMX-based producer at all. She’d all but shelved music to focus on her health; suffering loss of mobility and chronic pain from a spinal birth defect (Spina Bifida Occulta). Until Smurphy came across breatharian literature about ‘living without food’.
There’s a deep link with rave’s central DNA - the dancefloor promise of reaching that higher state - and her ongoing health conditions. These five dancefloor destroyers are wordlessly encoded with the breatharian theory. Life goes though different levels of existence like a videogame, from the lowest level as hard minerals (‘Existence’), plant and fungi life resonates as ‘Growth’, animal life resonates as ‘Instinct’, human life runs on ‘Intellect’, the boss level is ‘Intuition’ - the highest non-material sphere. 
Clearly Smurphy is back, healthier than ever, and in control with collaborative dancehall productions with Duppy Gun artists coming in 2021, with more music and collabs to be announced.
