Hapticalia EP is the result of the creative contact between the Colombian producer Anaquia and the Peruvian-born, Italian-based artist Youk. Plasmodia's first EP is a tangle of sound textures and rhythmic nuances that encapsulates both artists’ musical identity by sifting through dembow, trance, breaks and drum and bass.

Acceso Aleatorio draws a seductive melody that wanders around a hip-breaking dembow, evolving into a heavy, killer bass with glitched vocals.

You is one of the members of the music trio You, Youk Yousei, which specializes in experimenting with various styles of electronic music. In You's case, the focus is on exploring nostalgic melodies, liquid drum and bass, trance, and bass music. His production style is heavily influenced by nostalgia for his home country, drawing from beautiful memories of his childhood, which were shaped by video games and Peruvian culture.

Anaquia is recognized for his versatility in hir productions, which capture the essence of contemporary Latin music. With a wide range of Latin American influences. Anaquia challenges the boundaries of established genres by blending them, incorporating elements of neoperreo, Latin club, reggaeton, speed dembow, and guaracha, and merging them with techno, trance, and experimental sounds from the electronic genre. 

'Vehemente' is born thanks to the creative encounter between You and Anaquia, merging their sounds and taking them to the next level, shaping their feelings to give form to a sound that characterizes them and stands out, ranging from nostalgic to joyful melodies, thus obtaining a unique track.

Following the initial response to the split single we have decided to release the remixes on vinyl along with the original tracks.

Sully’s XT opens track one with sparse percussive reverberation before dropping straight into the funk with a bubbling break and a bass-line reminiscent of American b-movies of the ‘70s. XT bustles along with a militant urgency, but never losing the funk flavour.

On track two, Basic Rhythm flips Sully’s XT into a straight ahead 2 step pattern, retaining the energy of the bass line whilst ramping up the militant urgency, all without losing the funk flavour. Combining modern drum production with a 90s jump up vibe.

Basic Rhythm’s Woozy is a suitable companion piece, opening track three with an ominous Hammond organ chord line and a scattering of half heard vocal snippets, before dropping into a militant break with a one note bass-line evocative of 97 era V Records. Dark and moody, but with the dance floor firmly in step.

Sully’s flip of Basic Rhythm’s Woozy on track four strips away the layers. Opening with a spartan percussion and a scattering of vocal snippets, reducing the one note bass-line to an even more laconic drawl, while littering the track with bursts and stabs of strings and effects. This one is for the dark corners of the dance.

Sully - XT (Basic Rhythm Remix)

French collective Craquages present their second VA 'CRAQUAGES VOL.2', gathering 11 tracks crafted by carefully selected artists from the Bass/Break scene, asking each to paint their personnal view of "club music". BisouBisou, one of the 3 co-founders, who rides between the sugary tracks of his mix series R’n’Break and the bitter beats of his duo Les Déménageurs Bressons, comes strong with his track 'Kassos Social Club' on this compilation.

With this track, BisouBisou conveys his personnal view of what creates that jubilation when playing club tools, scrounging here and there in his prefered electronic styles like DnB, Juke and Techno music selected elements and details. 'Kassos Social Club', with its twisted and glitched breaks alongside gripping drums and minimalist vocals, comes out as a redoubtable club tool that'll definitely shake the dancefloors that'll encounter its power. Based out of Seville, Spain, Clare Durant & Hartta are one of the freshest collaborations to emerge in the scene, launching London based record label Oddities’ debut release.

Their “Photoshoot” EP  encapsulates all things odd and wonderful, flowing effortlessly through cerebral 4x4, zany breakbeat and glitchy UK bass. This varied 3 tracker attacks sound systems universally and demonstrates the diversity of their production arsenal. 

Founder of the club night and label Bleach & Moan, Clare Durant began her DJing journey in 2023, supporting the likes of DJ MELL G, Nikki Nair, Nite Fleit and more.. As Dead Trax head honcho and member of the group Sabasonik, Hartta boasts releases on imprints such as Banoffee Pies Records, 3 Feet Deep and Outhouse Sounds amongst others.

Their debut collaborative EP is set to release on 7th June, 2024 via Oddities Bandcamp and across all major platforms.

Belgium based polyglot DJ and producer La Dame is about to release her strongest body of work to date! Her forthcoming Bestiary EP is centered around global breakbeats, presenting four forward-thinking takes on jungle music. She has crafted her own distinctive approach to jungle drum 'n' bass, combining elements of both slow and fast styles within the genre in a way that is entirely unique. Her drum hits are precisely and minimalistically arranged, creating a powerful impact in perfect harmony with deep-roaring
basses and vibrant, tropical voices. La Dame's conceptual use of animal-sounding samples is based on the idea that the Bestiary EP depicts creatures that are a mixture of human-cyborg and animal,
through electronic music. We can clearly hear the creatures dancing passionately and loudly on the broken screens of our time.
Pura Pura from France remixed Full Metal Eagle in a shimmering fashion between dubstep and hardcore breakbeats. Beaming in from Tokyo with the kind of deadly new bass configurations to fully shut down a dance, Sneaker Social Club are very proud to present a five-strong shockout from T5UMUT5UMU.

You might have caught the breakthrough producer bringing their wayward signals to Hakuna Kuala for their debut 12” Sea Of Trees, but a dive into their Bandcamp shows a prolific studio head turning out beats with laser focus and unstoppable flair. Messing with the physical essence of Gqom, Dubstep, Grime, Trap, abber and more besides, the T5UMUT5UMU sound flexes between styles to make up its own soundsystem language, and this new EP on Sneaker is the perfect demonstration.

Deadly square wave bass punching into the dead of night, granulated speech patterns and whipcrack drums, grimey flute stabs and dramatic percussive rolls all spill into the soup at various points and the mood remains heavy at all times, but it’s never morose. The drops are too fiery to keep your head down, and there’s space for more than just sullen sonics (check the rousing melodic refrains hovering over the tumbling taiko drums on ‘Ikusa’ and you’ll see what we mean).

This kind of inventive progression of the bass music idea is exactly what Sneaker is built on, and it’s our pleasure to bring it to your ears.

We are excited to present the premiere of "Fuego" off the 23 track compilation "NUEVA OLA PE-MX" from latin label Matraca, featuring artists from Peru and Mexico. Young Peruvian Artist Youk and Matraca label head, Lukr0,  join forces on this wild and unique afro-peruvian inspired juke tune "Fuego." The song is a tribute to Peru's legacy of musical activists. Lukro and Youk lovingly sample iconic Afro-peruvian composer Nicomedes Santa Cruz, a revolutionary figure in Peru's musical history.  "Fuego" is wild, driving, dark, and political, it communicates the zeitgeist of global frustration regarding the current rise of fascism, while also carrying us through with a vision and sense of hope. A refreshing heartfelt track, its drop tomorrow with the full compilation.
