Bringing back a song I wrote nearly seven years ago. The American soul -- we like to tell lots of good stories about ourselves. Here's one that's not so good -- the account of the Moore's Ford Lynchings, in which a Black WWII veteran and his pregnant wife were murdered. No one was ever convicted of the crimes. How much of this same cruel spirit is still with us now?

Until now, my music was almost completely ununderstood except for the SoundCloud community (I am very grateful to you). Why is that? I haven't even been able to face that question. However, this time, with the beginning of 2025, I will also change! I decided. I have to break out of my shell. I have to incorporate trends. Into Hyades (2003)

I wrote this song while thinking of my great friend Jim Maack, who was also my brother-in-law.  He was suffering from an especially aggressive form of cancer at the time and he was heavy on my mind.  All I could think of was the spirit of this man.  I recently spoke at his service which was attended by hundreds of people he touched - standing room only.  I can't begin to explain how amazing this person was.  This song captures his spirit in a small way.  He was the kindest, most positive person I've ever known.
