"Estranged was written during lockdown when dance music wasn't really at the top of mine or anyone else's agenda. I was struggling to find a vocalist to collaborate with who would lean toward the sultry, gothic tone I was after. I played it to Pete from Overview, who heard the track and recommended LaMeduza, who fit the vibe perfectly.

I very much think of music in terms of 'environment'. There is music I enjoy listening to at home, music I enjoy listening to in the club, and music I enjoy listening to in the gym, and often these can be diametrically opposed in terms of tone, texture, and energy. As the 'club' environment didn't/does not exist for me during/post lockdown this had a massive bearing on my music. I didn't want to release anything for an environment that didn't 'exist', and also I was heavily influenced by the type of music I was listening to at home, resulting in most of my new tracks being very vocal-led - something I have experimented with in the past, but not concentrated on. I look forward to releasing more of these over the coming months and seeing what people think!"

Amorius presents new album "Ethno Core: the unique sound of Ukrainian electronic culture**

Artist Amorius is proud to announce the release of his new album "Ethno Code", which will be a true celebration of Ukrainian electronic music tradition. The album, created on the basis of folk instruments and Ukrainian folklore, promises to immerse listeners in the atmosphere of a rich cultural heritage.

“Ethno Code” is not just a musical project, but a real odyssey into the world of sounds, where modern broken rhythms and ancient melodies intertwine. On each track of the album you can hear the sounds of bandura, cymbal, flute and other traditional instruments, which in the hands of Amorius find new breath and sound.

“I always dreamed of creating something that would vividly and modernly reflect Ukrainian electronic music,” says the artist. “With this album, I wanted to show how Ukrainian tradition can be harmoniously combined with modern musical trends.”

The album "Ethno Code" includes 5 tracks, each telling its own unique story, immersing the listener in the world of Ukrainian legends and myths.
The album was recorded in various locations in Ukraine, where I worked on creating a unique sound that would be accessible to all music lovers. Some sounds were simply recorded on a tape recorder and then digitized on the sequencer.
