Joining him is Birmingham’s Exile, last seen on Dispatch Limited in 2020, as part of NC-17’s ‘All Weapons Out EP.’

This meeting of production talent results in four tracks packed with funk and drive - each one packing serious bass modulation and exploring new depths, as the pair combine styles to form this unique sound. 

Perfectly combining contrasting elements of serious bass weight and precision drums, this EP is set to be causing maximum dancefloor disruption.

Wreckless returns to Dispatch Limited for this deeply personal EP reflecting a period of intense change in his life. At the time many of these tracks were written he had reached a real turning point in his life, turning to music production to help handle grief but also mark the transition from working full time into professional music production.

With the EP title reflecting this leap of faith, the tracks are also representative of the emotions he felt during this time. ‘C# blues’ is an Emu bass workout, mainly anger and frustration. ‘Programs without Purpose’ is all punk, all attitude, working out loss, feeling fear. ‘Freelancer’ is about making the jump and believing better things are out there. ‘Tealights’ is about acceptance and finding peace. ‘Holiday blues’ is about moving on and ends the EP on a note of hope. 

As Wreckless himself says “I really hope people see this journey in the music. I am in such a different headspace now, but I love how reflective this EP is of that time”.

Dunk - Zumbi Zoo [Premiere]

Avantgarde has always been a platform for scouting new talents, having released early appearances of artists like Enei, L 33, EastColors and M-zine & Scepticz to name a few. 
Dabs & Grotesque's intuitions this time brought the attention on the man Lao Wai. The production of the new up & coming producer from Manchester is so evocative and gave the listener a mind-blow at the very first play. 

Tech-step rough elements melt down with analogue pads and deep sub hits, rounding the circle and ringing a ridicolous amount of bells when the drums start punching. For those who can reckonize a certain vibe. 

Brilliant three tracks, we truly look forward to release more Lao Wai in 2018.
