With the world re opening again, label boss, merchandise brand owner and DJ/producer Forbidden Society has made a welcome return to dancefloors. And after revealing an LP on his self-titled imprint last year, as well as following this with a host of releases including his debut on Vision Recordings in 2020, his tour schedule has been packed since fans flooded clubs over recent months. 

Despite the lack of drum & bass nights, Forbidden Societystill committed himself to studio time and after bringing his music to some of Europe’s most infamous clubs he returns to unleashing his digital music. This time he’s welcomed Agressor Bunx into the fray for a take on the classic sounds which Forbidden Society has built on over the past two years – and their forthcoming record ‘Steel City’ certainly does not disappoint. 

Duo Agressor Bunx have cultivated their fierce sound and talent on a host of labels, so excitement has picked up around their forthcoming release through Forbidden Society. The three selectors perfectly engineer a sound which is slick but also devastating, something which is injected into the heart of their single ‘Steel City’, with the Ukrainians delivering theirno holds-barred sound. With Forbidden Society’s brooding stamp, and Agressor Bunx delivering their deep, pounding bass sounds both acts go for the jugular. The track is intense, in a way that Forbidden Society has cultivated over the last two years to an expert level and it highlights the work the producer has put into his signature. Together, Forbidden Society and Agressor Bunx prove that their music is back with full force. And within the live music venues it belongs. ‘Steel City’ is a reminder of that fact.

After the success of our first various artists release, ‘The Voice of EKOU’, we’d like to present to you our next installment, ‘The Full Spectrum’. This project started as an idea to create a platform for up and coming producers, however over the previous months has developed into something that has allowed us to include both newcomers and established artists alike. 
	
In the 2 and a half years since our first release, we’ve been on a constant journey through sound, and have been a platform for a variety of artists, all of whom produce a variety of styles under the drum & bass umbrella. With ‘The Full Spectrum’, we hope to showcase our journey for you, our audience; some of you have been with us from the beginning, others are new to the label - either way we hope you know what to expect!

This is our representation of the full spectrum of drum & bass, and what the genre means to us. We hope you enjoy listening to this massive VA just as much as we did putting it together. 

‘The Full Spectrum’ has 22 tracks, split over 2 parts, and features both newcomers and seasoned artists alike. Part 1 drops exclusively on February 4th via Bandcamp and Beatport, followed two weeks later by Part 2 on February 18th.

A bright phenomenon is expected here, because it was Ignescent who nurtured this musician, made him a self-sufficient and ready-made artist. Having such support behind him, and having repeatedly received really noticeable results, many figures of our scene have already begun to pay attention to him. Having conquered many top labels, ChaseR returns to the Ignescent after a long time, teaming up with the rapidly progressing producer Malstrom. Together they created two compositions that are unique in sound and energy, which will definitely rock the dancefloors at D'n'B parties and will enter the listeners' players for a long time!

Forbidden Society has gone from being both a DJ and producer, to manufacturing a platform for his brand which stretches further than his base of Czech Republic. 

Forbidden Society has never bowed down to commercial pressure and as a result, has amassed a formidable reputation and a fan base to match. His output through his self-titled imprint and clothing line has highlighted this and his sonic divesity. 
The prime example being his debut self-released LP ‘Fog Walk’. Moving itself away from the hardcore vigor of his usual work, it covered twelve brand new editions to his already intimidating catalogue of work. The ‘Dead Box’ EP followed in quick succession, also revealed on Forbidden Society and standing as another monumental part of 2019. 
Despite being firmly rooted within drum & bass, these two bodies of work spanned his inspirations across electro, techno and punk music, something which were mirrored through his ‘Subworld’ EP on Noisia’s Vision Recordings – also releasing there again with his Audio collaboration ‘Iris’.

In more recent times, he featured as part of Killbox’s album on RAM Records with ‘Transistor’. Also returning to Vision with solo EP ‘Subworld, as well as taking part in their ‘Mission Compilation, his reworks for its label heads Noisia on ‘Exodus’ and ‘Moving For You’ (ft. I Am Legion) built on his longstanding relationship with the trio. This has only helped to thrust him even further into the spotlight. 

As well as his self-released ‘Liminal Point’ and ‘No Return’ LPs, he’s continued to set a standard, whilst exploring the likes of garage, techno and half time too. From Paris to Amsterdam, through to Columbia and Japan, Forbidden Society has brought his explosive presence to a global stage too. Standing as the first Czech producer to be booked for the legendary Pirate Station in Russia, he’s still breaking the paradigms within his creative process and in doing so, has engineered a space which has ensured both his longevity and international success.
