This is an all-original adventure set that I recorded at Co:Creation festival in Austin Texas. That was seriously one of the best times of my life. I got to meet so many kindred creative spirits including artists, musicians, writers, and sound designers and I played my music for the biggest crowd yet. I was feeling really grateful that this happened and that I remembered to record my set, so here it is!

This Memorial Day Weekend May 24-27 Elements Lakewood Music & Arts Festival returns to its namesake small town in Northeastern Pennsylvania for another bout of fun in the summer sun. The Rust Music is hosting a mini-mix series to highlight some of the stalwart underground talent taking the stage that weekend. The latest installment comes from Mike Wallis, the reserved, veteran producer who takes us on a journey through his personal record collection. Singling out his favorite eclectic downtempo cuts from over the years, this mix is awash with salient textures and nuance.

Mike Wallis produces original, freeform electronic music under K.L.O, Osmetic, and a host of other names. At Lakewood, he’ll be spinning music from any and all of his projects, and just about anything else he’s collected across 20 years of audiophilia. Reflecting this, his mini-mix crawls across a spectrum of tones and flavors with broken-beat rhythms and soft-edged synthesis. In the depth of night at Elements Lakewood, headlining The Rust Music’s Theatre Stage takeover, Mike Wallis is sure to tickle synapses and open up more than one deep rabbit hole.

We are ecstatic to bring @knowmatterofficial in to the lab. With him, he brings a full crate of drum and bass, and all the sticks to stir the mix. This is unexplored territory for us as a label, but our trust in Know Matter runs deep. He creates a comfortable atmosphere by weaving amen breaks and driving low end, while sprinkling the mix with a litany of unreleased tunes. Turn it up and clean your room.
