Draso - Harmony Of Colour

Flow Music present the seventh release on their record label which features a deep and melodic original by Josh Richards alongside a collaborative remix from Anthony Pappa and Jamie Stevens.

Josh Richards is an Australian artist who dropped his first ever release via Flow Music and is making a return to the imprint with a spine-tingling follow up. His first release on the imprint was orientated around melodic house/techno, but this latest offering shows of his deeper and more organic side to his sound.

On remix duty is melodic house legend Anthony Pappa, who is an Australian artist known for his compilation mixes for brands such as Global Underground and Renaissance. He has also produced tracks for record label's such as John Digweed’s Bedrock.

Jamie Stevens is a fellow Australian who has previously collaborated with Anthony Pappa to produce tracks for imprints such as Dave Seaman's Selador. He has also dropped productions on highly influential imprints ranging from Guy J's Lost & Found to Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream.

The original mix of "Tranquil" opens the release with flowing percussion and a delicate steel drum melody that resonates warmth throughout the tracks, while the uplifting pads and ethereal vocals fill the track with soothing vibes.

Anthony Pappa and Jamie Stevens remix lifts the tempo and beefs up the drums as it unfolds to gradually introduce the original's melodic elements. The epic breakdown holds mesmerising suspense before plunging back into the moody atmosphere and tribal energy of the percussive sections.

Paul Losev returns on 90watts hot on the heels of delivering a stellar remix for Hansgod's Splasher single.

The Miami based producer has made name for himself with releases on Where The Shadow Ends, Be Adult Music and Manual Deep to name a few. He's known for his emotionally charged yet delicate warm melodies, and that's exactly what you'll be hearing when you'll listen this his brand new single 'That Time'.

On remix duties, Erdi Irmak adds a bit of funky flavor to the mix. Keeping the melodic organic feel of the original close to his chest, but adding a very infectious guitar loop and some additional strings, his version is a great addition to Paul's lovely original!

Brenden LaBonte a.k.a. Forerunners has released a steady stream of immersive and unique tracks over the past 15 years, with remixes and originals on Pure Progressive, Sudbeat, Anjunadeep, Onedotsixtwo, Silk Music, Perfecto, and others. He has worked with the likes of Solarstone, Hybrid, Hernan Cattaneo, Tripswitch, and many others. Something of an enigma as an artist, this Arizona based producer is definitely in the ‘quality over quantity’ camp. Forerunners music is about the slow build, the journey, where filters ebb and flow, layers creep to the front then withdraw, where the percussion is hypnotic and the synths repetitive, and the melody draws the listener in with its subtlety, rather than a crass fanfare. It’s either early night material for trance rooms, or peak time material for intelligent progressive floors – spun by DJs the likes of Guy J to Paul van Dyk and everyone in between. This is what electronic dance music is all about.
