Aris Rodis & Steve Self met up in Manchester djing back to back in the depths of underground parties, and after a long run of playing around the major clubs and parties in the UK and Greece, they started to produce music together, looking for a way to put their musical backgrounds into the music they played out. The formation of Squared Curves soon followed, whose sound is influenced by both the trance scene and a deeper, hypnotic tech blend. With many releases on various record labels worldwide, their Discography shows their production versatility and always evolving electronic sound.

Steve, originally from Newcastle, now residing in Greece, has been producing electronic music since 2004. But much earlier in life studied classical piano, and is an avid didgeridoo player. .. Steve became involved in the electronic music scene while studying in Manchester. Resident dj and co-organiser of various nights, such as Sunrise , Spirit and Ossicles parties.. Now living on Zakynthos island, Greece, he works as a free lance reflexologist. In the studio he produces a range of styles from chill, house/minimal techno, Progressive house to progressive trance (slightlydelic) and Psytrance. Steve has now released over 700 trks, as Steve Self, Hautacam, LifeStr3am, Squared curves, Idrop, Casual Holmes and Lapsus thoughts...
