The Thatcher effect is about a cognitive dysfunction that affects the perception we have of certain objects, more specifically faces. A little brain game that offers us a reality different from ours. On this occasion, with “Thatcher Effect EP” I wanted to show that not everything we hear is perceived in the same way. There are infinite possibilities, endless ways of understanding music, whatever genre it is. After a very difficult year, away from my true passion, I present this new 4-track EP, which tells a story, a vision of my own reality. I really wanted to go back to the studio, and I hope you find this new musical adventure exciting, created directly from the heart to your senses. We at Sangoma Records are happy to present our first EP by Brazilian artist CyK. The man behind that project is Ciro Mendes, who is no stranger to this label – he has already released an album with his project Alchemy Circle along with Caio Wandalsen on Sangoma. For this release, he pulled quite some tricks off his sleeve and surprised us with his unique style and phat production, including a rocking collaboration with one of Brazil’s most promising acts – Konebu. Cyk explores the wilder, more foresty side of the psychedelic spectrum and is another great example of strong psychedelia made in Brazil, which we love so much. Big thanks and appreciation to our dear friend Nicolás Rosenfeldtown once again for his stunning artwork.

Gail is an old and wicked Ent that lives in the nearby forest. Besides his extraordinary personality, he is also well known for his exquisite taste in all the weirdest and twisted styles of music that can be found back in these woods. He pays regular visits to the many different caves and groves where the best of the forest musicians gather to 'cook their stuff' and so he has all the fresh and most tasty tunes around. It is a well known secret in the forest, that Gail has a special trail that goes through all these musicians' places from where he picks the tunes, and that its the only place where a creature can have an ear on them, for Gail always plays some along the way! Shhhh! The Forestdelic crew knows the whereabouts of this trail, and this time they are inviting you to have some time with Gail on his quest for a decent forestdelia. They have marked some special spots on this trail where the most wicked of his tunes are to be heard, so if you're up for some really nasty blasting, then hurry with that brew and join the crew - 'cos the forest never sounded better!
