Oscar Mulero returns to Token. Titan follows up 2018's Electric Shades EP and marks the Spaniard's fourth appearance on the label. A brace of uptempo, dance-floor focused tracks in the artist's inimitable style, the EP showcases the veteran producer's knack for memorable sonic motifs and enviable studio prowess.

As ever, the music feels fresh and modern. Driving, polyrhythmic recording Carnage sets the tone for the record-high energy and off-kilter, it's a dense workout that feels as focused as it does powerfully untethered. Hypnotic follow up Spirit Train channels the best of the heads-down end of the genre with a single delayed synth that warps across its runtime, buoyed by exquisite drum programming and bound neatly by the artist's precision engineering. Title track Titan heads up the B1 and the EP shows no sign of slowing. High energy from the start, Mulero delivers an exemplary slice of peak-time acid-Techno that finds extraordinary energy in its crisp main riff. Elektra closes out the EP and focuses heavily on groove. A single reverberating lead synth sequence does the bulk of the movement, moving in and out of the sonic periphery to build and release tension, all the while propped up by the chunky, driving drums that have powered the record throughout.

Brenda is a Chicago-based techno artist. She is A&R for Format Recordings, resident DJ, and co-producer of their weekly techno podcast series, Format.FM, and joint curator of the Format underground warehouse event series. 

A classically trained pianist and saxophonist, her expansive understanding of structure and rhythm allow her to draw inspiration from all kinds of music, from soulful jazz to dark, gritty drum and bass. Brenda’s talent for laying down everything from pulsing ethereal beats to jackin’ stompers demonstrates her versatility all while maintaining consistent themes of darker, harder techno.

Tanya Leigh first discovered the sound of techno in 1998 at a party in Minneapolis, MN, after being profoundly influenced by the industrial and drum & bass music scene. She instantly had a connection with the sound. The itch to perform took over quickly after spending a lot of time on the dance-floor combined with her passion for audio engineering and years of musicianship. From 2009-2016 she was 1/2 of the duo known as Complicit, (DJ & Live techno music). The pair performed multiple shows in the US and Canada, and hold a respected discography of tracks released on record labels from the US, Canada, and Mexico. In 2016 she helped launch OMEN Recordings, a dark industrial techno label she co-founded, while living in Los Angeles. Tanya has an extensive career in music as ateacher, producer and DJ, and continues to support the scene by releasing and performing techno. She is currently based in Minneapolis, MN and has also recently joined Headspace and Ladies On Vinyl collectives. 2018 is off to a great start for Tanya with gigs in Minneapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee, San Fransisco, Miami, and many more.

Tanya Leigh is a DJ and producer currently based in Minneapolis, MN. She has an extensive career in music that has led her to this point in electronic music by releasing and performing techno. Tanya is a resident DJ for Ladies On Vinyl and The Headspace Collective. Last year she performed in Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Omaha, Miami, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, just to name a few, and already 2019 is off to a great start for US bookings. She is also the Booking & Account Manager for OMEN Recordings, an industrial techno label she cofounded.
