'Check It Out' said Novodisc on Clarisse's 57th outing 'Check It House' back in 2016. Bigged up by Joseph Capriati, Riva Starr, Stacey Pullen, Wally Lopez, Mladen Tomic and a host of other admirers, Novodisc Sanchez is here again with similar straightforward instruction to provide another chain reaction causing gridlock. Historically 'Feel It', and the question of whether you are able to do so, has been one of dance music's most relatable titles. As it's Clarisse's 70th release, it only seems right that two tracks of swift deep house with a hardened tech shell should attempt to break the speed limit.

Geared to stay on the right side of a bassline destined to be one of the summer's funkiest, 'Da Plays' is what this will be receiving in abundance. A little rap chatter here, a bit of block party chanting to get hands up there, some high pressure hoovers to douse clubbers like a water cannon as part of a nerve-racking breakdown.and that bass to snap hips into motion. Doggedly sinking its teeth into the sunset, it's house giving slowcoaches the hurry up.

If anything, 'Feel It' is even funkier, held down by time-honoured, instantly recognisable hip-hop samples that still have the power to get the people in the top tier grinning and going for it. Yet it's the modest but very definite techno/rave core that creates a dancefloor adhesive that's as hard as a diamond - the breakdown in particular is where the arena blacks out. Fun under the sun not afraid of throwing a few flying elbows, watch this have you catching feelings when blasted from the right system.

Premiere: Alex Kennon - Dreams [Relief Records]

Coming straight at you with their second single for Formatik Records within a year are Kuestenklatsch, the Hamburg /  Germany based duo which have been making waves in the cities local scene with their pounding, highly effective and dancefloor functional variation of high octane TechHouse over the course of the past few years.

The title track „Break It Down“ is a prime example of the duos trademark style, bringing forth masterly sculpted bassdrums, a rolling low end, sharp shuffled grooves and a variety of sliced and cut micro samples leading towards a main part employing clean, percussive midrange synth elements with a clearly Rave-focused attitude to take crowds to a next level in terms of ecstatic dancefloor energy.

The follow up „House Party“ sees Kuestenklatsch on a more glitzy tip, merging their muscular TechHouse sound with distinct signature vocals, rolling bass craze and a sparkling main motif which will  set big room floors on fire within seconds, no matter if the audience is consisting of mainly underground clubbers or super hyped, glammed up ElectroHouse heads.

Coming all the way from Birmingham / UK for his first release on Formatik+ is Sandor, a young DJ and producer on the rise who's already been making waves on the British scene with tracks signed to labels like Cr2 Records, Material Series and Shanghaied which have been supported by Jamie Jones, Ricky Ahmed, Steve Lawler and many noticeable names touring the UK circuit on a regular.

Opening with the title track "Drop The Beat" Sandor is entering uptempo peak time realms immediately and without any hesitation. Clearly taking influences from the Hardbag scene tempowise we see the Brit fusing scorching speed with distinct, uberly seductive bass grooves, a highly recognizable vocal sample as well as a minimalistic main motif in hypnotizing repeat mode – a stripped down approach that's more than enough to bang the pouring sweat out of each and every experienced punters body for a reason.

Furthermore calling the "Hotline" has Sandor providing more of his powerful trademark stomp, the obvious, yet fully twisted and borderline insane take on automated telephone hotline emulations alongside one hell of a bass groove, proving exactly why the young producer has made a name for himself within only a few years on the circuit. This is the hot shit!

Welcome aboard, Dompe! The Cologne-based DJ and producer, better known to his friends and family under the name of Dominic Wagner, touches down on Formatik+ with a new two track single, presenting a serious label debut after making waves on imprints like Jackfruit, Style Rockets, Ostfunk and more for about a decade now.

Opening with "Coke Power" Dompe is on a high octane uptempo TechHouse tip from the get go, combining a sweet hi-hat shuffle with super seductive bass grooves as well as a killer vocal sample from the Funk-driven past, adding a bit of extra fuel for all them peaktime punters out there.

The subsequent "Active" presents a similar attitude in terms of seductive hyperfunctionality and precisely rolling grooves, yet employs a sharper overall tonality, percussive, mechanical sample use as well as classic white noise sweeps and a large scale, highly recognizable synth motif for ecstatic moments of relief whenever the track breaks down for a moment.

Established in 2009 by Berlin-based DJs and producers Jakob Hildenbrand and Franziskus Sell, known, praised and recognized by fans and followers of electronic club music under their conjunctional moniker Format B, Formatik Records was initially installed as a homebase for the pairs own productions.

After their so-called Motor Funk-sound, a forward thinking take on pumping, straightforward, high octane electronic music represented both by releases on labels like Highgrade Records or Stil For Talent as well as an endless string of captivating live sets, had caught the attention of clubbers and media alike the pair felt the need to create a platform of their own that would grant them full creative freedom as well as unlimited quality control for a fertile and fecund future.      

Whilst taking care of the A& R side of things Format B teamed up with electronic music veteran Hawks Grunert on management duties, setting up an imprint that soon gained massive traction, became one of the major forces on the global club circuit and quickly grew way beyond the teams initial plannings and intentions.
 
With its core sound being defined by the powerful Motor Funk / Tech-Funk production of its founders Formatik Records soon became home and mothership for a vast array of likeminded producers and friends whose single releases are still rocking dancefloors all over the place.

Spreading the labels trademark sound further and catering towards the needs of an ever growing fanbase the label soon expanded and started to set up Formatik Records club nights and showcases all over Europe back in 2014, selling out  shows and leaving punters in awe whereever these nights are taking place.

Aside from carving out an in demand niche as club promoters the Formatik Records crew also started to take care of their artists bookings with their very own booking agency Formatik Booking which was subsequently renamed, restructured and relaunched in 2017 under the name of VIVID Artists which is now successfully handling things bookingwise for a good portion of the labels roster plus a carefully picked selection of other aspiring as well as well established artists and performers.

In addition to these musings the ever busy Formatik Records team established a second, rapidly growing musical outlet in 2017. Embracing a broader musical spectrum than its Motor Funk-oriented mothership, the freshly founded label FMK+ provides a home for a new generation of producers covering a wide range of electronic club music incorporating a musical spectrum including all things House, ElectroHouse, TechHouse, Techno and beyond. With more than 10 red hot releases within the first year the new FMK+ branch has received much love amongst DJ's and from an international dancefloor crowd and quickly turned out to be a launchpad for fresh, upcoming talent from all over the globe.

Branching out even further Formatik Records launched an additional subdivision in early 2018 – FormatikSounds. Focusing on the ever growing demand for high quality samples and grooves this specific and one of a kind label provides exclusive sample packs for DJ's and producers alike, starting operations with Format:B's “TechHouse Signature Cuts”, an acclaimed release which sees the upfront production team unveiling some of their best kept secrets soundwise, catering to the needs of every creator of contemporary club sounds of today.
