One of the brightest stars on the label is back again after his absolutely genre dominating debut EP ‘Unseen Forces’. An artist who has been speed running up the ranks in popularity with releases on prestigious and respected labels such as Dispatch Recordings and Flexout Audio, and a multitude of features already on under his belt on the Yamatai imprint solidifying himself as one of our labels most successful and favourite artists.

We can now happily announce Acris' return to the label with his absolutely outrageous two track club smasher ‘Dog Funk / Badman Sound.

The king of sound design is back after a short hiatus. Since his last appearance on the highly acclaimed Unseen Forces EP back in December Leon has been on a mission of pure dominance in the Drum & Bass scene. Releasing banger after banger. The budding Austrian producer cannot be stopped and is a ever evolving artist, with each release out doing his last. With recent success over on our good friends over at Transparent Audio and native Austrian label Empathy Audio, Leon has been paving a way for his name across the globe and we love to see it!

It’s been so refreshing to sit back and what his progression over the last few years. Starting with his debut track ‘Let It Go’ back in April last year which was a heavily focused liquid anthem that took the world by storm then rolling to December with arguably his most popular release ever his ‘Unseen Forces EP’. Two massively different styles which further showcased Leon’s immense ability to write any style to an outstanding quality.

‘Dog Funk / Badman Sound’ are once again a showcase of this versatility that Acris possesses. One track that is heavily focused on aggressive basses, sharp transitions and thumping drums while the other is styled more to the old foghorn style with a new age twist.

Acris is back with two new club tracks, both outrageous and ready to cause another stir!

2020 is not done for AFT Records as they bring us their 10th release on what has been possibly the weirdest year ever on planet Earth, but hey at least the music has been good! Making his debut for the label, Bristol based producer Loma launches his Family Tree catalogue in style with the thunderous ‘Elements’ E.P

The title track kicks things off showcasing Loma’s unique style of production, intricate drums, gliding bass and eerie strings set the scene with all the 'Elements' syncing together in a powerful stepper.

'Monster' revs up the gear with a cameo from AFT label mate MC Texas fresh from releasing his debut E.P ‘Dedicated’. A haunting stepper with some great, original sounds and cutting vocals from Tex. ‘Release the Monster!’

Closing the show ‘Out of Nowhere’ marinates gorgeous textures and pads with exquisite drums and builds atmosphere akin to a Ridley Scott movie. This element is deep and deserves maximum volume.

UK based producer, Mistic, is back with Formation records with a 5 track EP of nothing but fire Drum and Bass. ‘Step Back’ is a masterful EP of elite levels of production that every DJ need in their arsenal. 

The first track ‘Step Back’ kicks the EP off with an almighty bang. Dirty bass is the main feature of this track, with dark synths adding to the mystery. There is no lack of energy as Mistic perfectly combines multiple layers of bass to leave listeners wanting for more of the opening track.

‘Tip Top’ the second track from the EP is going to be with us for a while. The melodic introduction is the perfect into to the hook bass that makes this track an energy filled piece. It’s hard to get over just how catchy ‘Tip Top’ is, even through the breaks listeners will be yearning more. 

As we move onto ‘Slugfest’ the introduction is a sign of this to come in this deep, dark and dirty track. It’s not hard to understand why the track is named so. With bass the really does slug its way through, leaving listeners with a lasting bass face. 

’11 dimensions’ takes listeners through more than 11 dimensions with Si-Fi feeling synths that create a hardcore drum and bass track. High energy, deep bass and momentary contrasts throughout gives listeners an unrivalled listening experience. 

The final track of the EP ‘The Yard’ is the perfect creation to round off this epic EP. With similarity within the bass as ‘Tip Top’, the production is top class. Expect this track to lingering in your head for days after listening.

Simple Simon is back with another release on Formation Records, after his earlier release this year, the ‘No Limits’ EP sees the produce bring 4 brand new tracks to the label. 

The first track ‘No Limits’ is not for the faint hearted. Starting off by luring in listeners with an almost tranquil introduction, it’s not long before we’re exposed to the full force of this track. The light and airy vocals are replaced with violent rolling bass, that will tear through sound systems. 

As we move on to ‘Double edge’ there’s a switch up in style. With a heavy rhythmic drum pattern from the outset accompanied by deep dark and dirty bass, this track will have heads bopping all round. The bass only continues to swell as we progress through, don’t be caught off guard when it swells around and takes you with it. 

‘Blue Sky’ brings another new feel to the EP with a much more jubilant Drum and Bass feel. The light and inviting piano is a standout section, with vocals that compliment to tack the track to another level. Don’t think Simple Simon has gone ‘soft’ scattered throughout are reminders of his heavy roots.

The final track  ‘Blue State’ is the perfect ending for the EP, giving listeners an opportunity to become one with the music and be taken on a journey of serenity. We’re given a well thought out assortment of piano’s, once again accompanied by complimentary vocals, with the occasional inclusion bass that’s more sinister.

Its finally here.... something that has been undoubtedly the most cathartic offering that I have put out in my 18 years of MC'ing / Mixing.

DJ Fluent Presents - Flewid MC 2020 Introspection spray out.

This is a short 15 minute piece that is both mixed by me and with me also providing vocals.

I have made some real changes in late 2019 that allowed me to re-ignite my passion for writing lyrics and spitting and as a result, started penning again at a rapid rate. Taking influences from my own life experiences, my journey, my friends, my family and my new aspirations towards cognitive hypnotherapy and my philosophies on how we progress......
I wanted to take a retrospective look at 2020 through my own eyes and put out something reflective of my thoughts and feelings.
The mix - Short, sweet, evolving and punchy.
The lyrics - based more heavily than ever around word play, multi's, linguistics and syntactics.

I mean this more than ever, thank you to all of you that have been of personal support to me over the last couple of years both in terms of my music, my personal life & my overall well intentioned absurdities.
Those that have consistently been there for me, I owe you everything (you know who you are ;) )& those that have been kind enough to provide feedback in any format, taken time out of their own lives to listen, share, re-post, comment, like, support.... you guys are the reason for this output.
So I thank you all...... So much more to come now you'll be sick of it... just remember, its also your fault...... haha.

Im not adding a TL for once as I want there to be no pre-conceptions before you choose to listen but for once, I am confident and its sprinkled with Optimism and vibes.
