Social medias are full of videos in which animals interact with humans. 
They give us a sense of temporary well-being, of comfort, or even satisfaction, a dose of serotonin. 
But all of that awakens in me a deep and very special feeling of anxiety, as I'm suddenly aware of the mass alienation of the internet-scrollers, who voluntarily and happily comply to this. 
More than that, in the background of these videos, there is always and always the same music tunes.
People rarely try to listen to new original stuff, beyond what's directly available. 
Surely, however, the popular music tunes that they use help them getting more views when combined with images full of cuteness and love.

This opus is a criticism of the backward yet abundant consumption of viral videos, of how they're part of a form of deculturation, while in the same time providing temporarily wellness and comfort to our brains.

MYEN can be broken down as a project of audio hyperstition, sonic tulpamancy and self described funeral music. His music is often driven by immersive and cinematic sound design, heavy distortion and an overall feeling of suspense. He is currently based in Leipzig, Germany, and recently self-released his last Album "KARNER".

His last shows included London's Underground series VULCAN, and similar events in Berlin like Sad Prompt Engineering. He also recently worked on the Soundtrack for Brig Huezo's postdigital performance piece "The Death At The Code!". Topics that currently influence MYEN's sound include death culture(s), Countermyths, Accelerationism, Hyperstition and Chaos Magick.

For this mix, MYEN has channelled dark energies into an array of chaotic, euphoric and anarchic sounds, manifesting into a cry for freedom. A soundtrack of desire, longing and anger, this mix is truly unmatched.

Apu Nanu - Sepia Rainbow

Athens-based storyteller, sound artist, and producer Apu Nanu draws inspiration from post-internet aesthetics, microtonality, neoclassical themes, and video game nostalgia, blending these influences with playful MIDI manipulation and collage-like sound design. Trained in both Western and Eastern music traditions, they are a multi-instrumentalist interested in exploring new approaches to digital composition.

In 2024, they released their debut EP The Untold Saga via Polish label BFF Music -a cinematic soundtrack to an imagined gamespace. Their collaborations include work with artists such as Galen Tipton, Julek Ploski and Oliver Torr, while their music has been choreographed by Zoi Tatopoulos and featured by brands like Valentino. Their work extends to compositions for performances and art installations presented at venues like the Benaki Museum and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. 

Following their debut, they began performing across Europe, with appearances in cities such as London, Berlin, Milan, Prague, Brussels and more.
