Moulton Music proudly presents House of Moulton Vol. 1, our first-ever vinyl series. This release digs deep into the Moulton catalog, highlighting some of our biggest tracks alongside exclusive and unreleased remixes that you won’t find anywhere else.

Side A kicks off with a fresh 2025 mixdown of “Work.Groove” by Mark Farina and Homero Espinosa, followed by a brand-new remix from Hotmood who brings the funk with an uptempo, driving version perfect for peak-hour sets. We’ve also included the acapella of “Work.Groove” for DJs and heads who like to get creative.

Side B goes even deeper, starting with an unreleased remix of “Burning Hot” by JT Donaldson and Seven Davis Jr. This version captures the essence of Moulton’s deep house sound with analog synths, tough beats, and signature funk. Rounding out the release is David Harness and Tedd Patterson’s Main Afro Mix of “Black Music” by Franky Boissy and Roland Clark, a powerful and soulful cut that closes the record in style.

Originally "Back in the Days" released in 2004 on Resopal Schallware marked Tigerskin as a torchbearer for pop-oriented groovy House, reviving the raw energy of early 90s bleeps, swung beats, and untamed dance floor spirit but transforming it with the technical possibilities of the early 00s into his trademark romantic vision.

From the pulse of “Dance Now” to the cringey charm of “Party in My Car,” Tigerskin proved that Back in the Days was more than a look backward - it was a bridge between era's: a reminder that the roots of club culture still grow, still breathe, still move people.

Two decades on, this re‑release doesn’t just bring back nostalgia - it reminds us that reminiscing every once in a while can push creativity. The album and a few EPs around it were the start of a pretty different approaches to club music for Tigerskin, that led to several big tracks and remixes, some now considered to be classics by many. 

The three formerly unreleased and slightly more club-oriented bonus tracks had been recorded the same year but were amongst many that didn’t make it to the album.

The final stretch expands the palette with the floaty Dance Inc., the rolling Signal Signal, and closing cut Slipstream, tying the journey together in style. Brazilian Diogo Strausz returns to Razor-N-Tape with ‘Gravity’, a disco-boogie opus featuring the inimitable voice of Brandon Markell Holmes. A meticulously produced work of live-recorded soulful funk, ‘Gravity’ channels the intricate arrangement style of 80s Brazilian producer Lincoln Olivetti, with punchy drums and bass, a tight and agile brass section, and tasty guitar and synth interplay. Brandon’s voice floats above it all, equally gritty and atmospheric, to deliver the relentlessly catchy hook that launches the song straight into orbit!
