Liondub & Nicky Blackmarket connected across the Atlantic during the pandemic in order to stay focused and create a unified body of music that would speak volumes about their history, skills, and love for all the genres of music that have continuously inspired them as artists and entertainers over decades. 
Armed with a lasting friendship, mutual respect, and inspiration, the two international heavyweights collaborated remotely over a 2 year period of time to create Transatlantic; a wide ranging, stunning Jungle Drum & Bass album that includes features from Sugar Minott (RIP), Navigator, The Ragga Twins, Blackout JA, Rider Shafique, Parly B & Chatta B. This LP is a fantastic, weird & wonderful sonic journey guaranteed to peak the interest of anyone who loves underground electronic music and all that has inspired the many resulting genres. It goes without saying the last year has been pretty phenomenal for drum and bass. We’ve seen many new names shoot into the spotlight, showing everyone just how capable they are at rubbing shoulders with the best. One of these is Bennie – an artist people can’t stop talking about right now. From landing on a major label, Universal Music, with his remix of Baby Queen’s “Colours Of You” last year, to his most recent bootleg of Delerium’s dance classic “Silence”, which Sigma helped turn into an official release on BeatsBassLife.

We’re stoked to say Bennie is back on Born On Road following his naughty chart smashing “Flexin” single with us last year, and this tune is just as capable of persuading your gun finger into action. “One Gun Finger” is the name, and it features none other than Dread MC. If that’s not a combination to get you excited when we’re not sure what is… Trust us, this one will be large in the dance.

We told you Bennie was on a roll right now and we weren’t lying… We’ve only just had time to rest our trigger fingers after the chaos of his & Dread MC’s “One Gun Finger”, but now it’s time to get them fired up again as we have four more rave whoppers incoming from the man of the moment.

We’re ecstatic to present Bennie’s debut Born On Road EP, which is a gleaming showcase of the talent this young artist possesses. From the carnage of the bassline in “Mercenary” to the exotic sounds of “Blackbelt” to the hectic jungle breaks in “Goose Chase” with Ozone, this EP is testament to the attitude of new wave D&B producers like Bennie, who are capable of rolling out a wide range of styles in their production. It’s no surprise why Bennie was nominated for ‘Best Newcomer’ in Drum&BassArena’s 2022 awards – the first of many nominations we feel.
