We actually recorded this track about 7 months ago while living in echo park with our homie Sachin(aka trillvestris). At the time his cat Sophie (pictured) was really young and every week she was going through a new phase. One week she would spend all her time hiding from us, the next week she would be climbing anything she could find, and the next week she would be non-stop purring. One day we invited over our good friend Moby (aka bambi*star) to work on a track. That week was Sophie's "hunting phase". The whole time we were cooking the beat she was staging attacks on us. Our legs, our friends legs, our laptops, everything. When it came time for a hook we were so fed up with her poaching that we couldn't think of anything else, hence, On The Hunt.
