004 - The Only Way Out

my first album. it's not perfect, but it shouldn't have to be.

description:
"don't be sad because it's gone, be glad because it happened."

i always had an issue with that saying, knowing how much has slipped away from me over the past 6 years. but recently, i've begun to finally appreciate it. what you lose isn't truly lost. the people you've met and the things you've done make you into who you are now. i finally have closure now that i've made that realization, and i can focus on my efforts ahead of me. that's what this track is about, and why it isn't called "All That We Were" anymore.

This one has definitely taught me a ton about making stuff. I think the end result is pretty decent, but not perfect or anything. Songs don't have to be long to be good or impressive, so I doubt I'll make a song over 4 minutes for a while. Hopefully you're able to enjoy it!

As per usual, I don't have much of a story for this track other than the name. Originally it was gonna be very literal, as in two planets colliding, but eventually that morphed into a story of two different people. Feel free to interpret it in whichever way you want to.

This might be my best work yet, honestly. Everything just sorta came together without too much of a headache (the exporting process was atrocious though). Hopefully the mix is better, as listening as closely as I did so many times over genuinely impaired my hearing for a couple hours. Enjoy!

THIS ONE HAS A STORY WOOOO!!! I actually came up with some ideas and lyrics! I may consider making a rough vocal version to post on my alt because I'm really happy with some of the lines. Here's a summary: "A person goes insane and is haunted by spirits or something. As the song progresses, it gets to the point where the spirits can interact with them, and in the process letting both worlds become one. They get a message before being dragged into the spirit’s dimension (going fully insane), reading 'There Are Two People In This Room.' The last chorus and outro describe the narrator’s agony of being stuck in a broken consciousness, begging to be set free:

anyway, this is probably the longest description i've ever written but i gotta keep the format consistent. so the update this time is that i'm actually posting to youtube now because a lot of my non-UT stuff does better over there, which will hopefully incentivize me to branch out a little more! "Together, We Ride" chiptune cover coming soon i think maybe maybe not idk.

There Are Two People In This Room

My first official song with vocals and lyrics and stuff! I'm not a very good singer, but I gave it a shot anyway. This is a song my friend wrote the lyrics for a long time ago to be used in a potential joke midwest emo song. I decided to give it one last shot as a rougher acoustic song and ended up with something that pushes the boundaries of what I thought I was capable of. Hopefully you enjoy it even if my voice is sorta horrible here lmao.

Gap Year

Man, I don't even know how to start this description. It's been so long since I made an Undertale track. Of course, I've had plenty of WIPs for forever now, but this is the only thing I've managed to finish. Motivation works in mysterious ways. Also, I believe a couple other people are making their own versions of this song, so I'll add those links once they come out. I hope you enjoy what I've made! I had a really fun time making it.
(also UGK is like insanely good for guitar harmonies???)

I don't have context for this one really, but this time it kinda makes sense. The only reason this does exist, in all honesty, is so that those other people have a track and artist to credit. (I also just don't have any drive to make an AU at all and have never had that. Apologies for the thumbnail as well, I'm still no good at those lmao.)

so funny story: the file for this is well over 2 years old. it dates back to April 2021. what the fuck! anyway, i don't know how long it'll last, but my motivation is at like an all-time high. i've got another song basically ready to post, even if it's kinda garbage. it also happens to be like years old. last thing, i wanna start joining more servers and getting more involved with the community. lots of things have changed since i was last active, so i'm not really sure where to look. feel free to suggest places, i guess.

Forsaken Cosmos is an Undertale AU, inspired by Outerfell and Fallen Stars.

Upon losing the war against Humanity, Monsterkind are banished to planet Ebott. The atmosphere of the planet is harsh and practically unliveable; not only does it prevent plant growth, but it has unpleasant impacts on the Monsters themselves. They're desperate and barely surviving, trying in vain to gather the SOULs necessary to travel back to Earth and live happily once again. 

You are this final SOUL. Your life is the final barrier to their freedom.
