Welcome to North Rising.

North Rising are a band from NY baby! (That’s North Yorkshire btw). They seek to break down genres by playing whatever the hell sounds good so you get a range of different original tunes.

We will be releasing music under the North Rising banner for a time before deciding who we want to be!

We miss the days of rough and ready demos, B-sides and mix-tapes that used to be out there and believe that rather than helping, over production can kill a sound or a style in its tracks keep it simple!

As per everything in this country, music is south centred…..it shouldn’t and doesn’t have to be this way you can help by listening and sharing, the t’interweb is a powerful being.

Don’t expect to hear the auto tuned vocals on here.

Our dreams for the future...

We want to encourage people who may never have played live before but have been making their own music and wish to begin to spread their wings– musical style/genre is unimportant to us - get in touch if you want to do something live or have other ideas or just want to see what we think of your tunes we are happy to listen to other creative talents and say things like “Damn, your better than us how about you headline a gig and we’ll support you!”

One of our many aims in the future is to be able to put on events under a North Rising banner featuring different artists to truly get unique musical nights back.

Dream would be a North Rising Festival.
