The two of them were stuck rushing through the rain, still trying to find something or make sense over what they had already seen. If Novella was like that, then… “Uh, Liam?”

“What?”

“Is the rain getting worse?”

Sure enough, what was once walking on wet ground was now actively trudging through it, already ankle-deep. The two of them began to panic as the water continued to rise, Liam doing his best to hold onto his armless partner before soon, they were completely submerged. After a moment of swimming, they almost seemed to bump into a wall of pure water- no, it felt like they were in something now. And despite being stuck underwater, neither of them seemed to be drowning, though that only does them so well- Thomas was still struggling to get around wherever they were. Liam tried to call out to Thomas to swim upwards, only to feel something weighing him down.

He began to panic more, the water distorting his voice as he saw something- and Thomas only had enough time to realize what he was pointing at before falling into a portal, separating the two. It wasn’t being trapped underwater that was the problem.

It was what they were trapped with.
