We are very happy to present you a special release from gutinstinct! After his contribution ‚Eternal Jungle’ on the 10 year anniversary compilation ‚Down The Danube River’, he returns to Fortunea Records with the Back To The Roots EP. A collection of tracks suitable for different moments in a clubbing environment.

The record opens with his melodious and emotional expression of ‚Art‘. This energetic track forces us to sink into venturesome sound waves driven by a dark but at the same time warm pad. A beautiful catchy synthesizer hook line is the icing on the cake on top of it.

Similar tonal but not as uplifting as the opener is the title-track of this EP. A simple, grooving, relentless and continuously deep journey that exemplifies gutinstinct’s profound innate understanding of rhythmic grooves and complexity in simplicity.

Sensuous chills and thrills continue with ‚Pueblo’ on the B-side. A constantly rolling and evolving piece of synth laden ecstasy with richness and colour, driven by the sort of thick analogue basslines and distinctive melodies that have come to define his catalogue.

Lastly, the record closes out with a remix of the title-track by the analogue gear enthusiast Jakobin. In this version he takes the beautiful arpeggio synth sounds and amalgamates them into a framework of lo-fi house aesthetics. You can just imagine this track slicing through an unbent sunset dance floor or morning afterhour ceremonies.

The Back To The Roots EP will be available on august 1st, 2025 digital and on limited vinyl.

Daniel Enache is a DJ and producer based in Bucharest, Romania, exploring the intersection of house, progressive, and Italo. His track “France 98” was released on Integration Recordings, the label run by acclaimed artist Jex Opolis, marking a key milestone that elevated his sound through the support of one of the genre’s most respected voices.
Daniel’s earlier track “Body,” released on New York’s Low End Directive, has gathered over 10,000 total streams and reflects his instinct for groove-driven productions. 

A steady presence behind the decks at Club Control in Bucharest for more than eight years, Daniel has also shared lineups with artists such as Marshall Jefferson, Rhode & Brown, Adryiano, Romare, Matthieu Faubourg, and the Imported Paris crew. Known for his sharp dance instinct and ability to read the room, his sets adapt fluidly to energy and context—always dialed into what the dancefloor needs.

Some words regarding “Whales EP”: 
I wanted to create a more personal EP that would still work well in a club setting. I was really happy when ODJO reached out, as I was looking for the right home for these tracks. For me, the EP is a journey through different moods—starting with the intriguing, clubby energy of “Whales,” moving into the trancey vibe of “Call Back,” and closing with “Harmonica,” which brings a sense of musical balance to the whole.

PREMIERE: Daniel Enache - Harmonica [Berry Jam Records]

Emerging French artist Victor Tomasi, known for his electronic universe blending classic and modern house, unveils a new project: a three-track EP titled “Democracy EP”, available on all streaming platforms starting July 18.

With this EP, Victor Tomasi explores a highly rhythmic electronic aesthetic — a return to the roots of electronic music, infused with more traditional instrumentation. Each track invites the listener to surrender to hypnotic grooves and lush synth layers, while maintaining a distinct sonic identity.

Composed in Paris, Democracy EP draws inspiration from live concert musicianship to introduce new textures into club-oriented electronic music. All basslines were recorded on an electric bass guitar, while the acoustic drums were captured at Studio M in Montreuil. The result is an introspective journey, driven by dynamic arrangements rooted in the tradition of house music with a human touch.

PREMIÈRE: Victor Tomasi - Never Going To Know

ODJ opens the floodgates to Volume 2 of Through The Window with his first release since 2019, 'Rock Da Beat'. Epitomising what club music should be about, 6 minutes of straight fun utilising whistles, wind instruments and plenty of BASS. 

Next, Cabinet Meeting keep things stomping with an absolute smoker. 'Dancin' has got trace elements of acid, progressive house and hip house, wrapped up in one chunky package. 

Santi in the driving seat for B1 track with a neat and tidy tech house production. Percussive, dreamy pads, whats not to love? 'Night Crawler' will certainly get those indexes wagging.

Cazsh seeing us through to the finish line, and not letting up on the gas pedal while doing so. Fitting in well with the overall atmospheric and trancey theme on this EP so far, this track throws you a little curveball midway to keep you on your toes with ravey breakbeats.
