Number 23 from Continental Drift seems to be all about the journey. These are slowly evolving groovy tracks, never staying totally loopy and often being a bit sly about the direction they're headed. Perspectives Shift, the first track and release namesake starts out as a floating tune centering around the Mathew Jonson-style wandering bassline melody; it gradually churns thick with rhythmic action and counterpoint chords. Deep Summer Techno is trippy acid that plays with time and space, maybe channelling a bit of that CABARET Recordings spirit from Ospovat's time in Japan. Finally, the whole B-side is dedicated to Conoley’s re- work of label co-owner and dear friend c_olvrin’s Cryogenic Freezing Of Friends, a more Chicago-house excursion, full of groove and many-textured details.

As club music fans, we constantly seek out those special moments of sonic bliss, the moments that help justify staying out well past midnight. The Embrace EP captures the essence of those rave-affirming moments and tips its hat to the pioneers of its trancey 90s underground sound. Making his Fortune Signal debut, LA native @akumenmusic delivers a rave-ready 5-tracker just itching to be unleashed at peak time in a warehouse near you.

For this new release, Akumen has infused his signature house and techno workouts with what he cheekily describes as proto-trance. A tasteful yet potent combination of sonic ingredients, the resulting Embrace EP is a cohesive odyssey full of pumping bass and kicks, mysterious synth melodies, and skittering breakbeats. The release is comprised of Akumen's four original tracks as well as a remix by NYC underground luminary and Toucan Sounds mainstay Haruka Salt. The veteran DJ slaps an exclamation mark on the release with a loopy and deliciously percussive take on “Bring It” that re-awakens your senses for the final dance.

Akumen is a long-time fixture in the LA underground scene and co-runs the Made to Move monthly party and radio show. Working out of his home studio in East LA, Akumen produces "atmospheric, breaky and lush cuts to high octane, full-on-rave" tracks for labels including La Bonne Musique, 12 Inches Deep, Low Recordings and now Fortune Signal.

The batteries are charged again! After an adequate summer break the Fortunea Records crew continues its mission to bring out extraordinary compositions with a brand-new EP by Moff & Tarkin.

The Icelander is currently living in Vienna and presents on this record his multi-variant taste in music. Poems of Soy starts with the cinematic opener ‚Sting’. Playful arpeggio synths dive headfirst into an hypnotic shuffle beat which is companied with siren-seeming vocals from the distance. The follow up ‚Love or Something‘ takes that groove and expands it with more pressure and a snappy baseline.

The B-side starts with an acid injected rave bomb called ‚Dating on LinkedIn‘. A track of sublime quality featuring 909 driven beats merged with acid bass lines. And with ‚Great Tan‘ M&T takes us back to the glory days of the big beat movement.

Poems of Soy will come out on the 30th September 2022 in its digital form and later also as limited vinyl record.

And as always this release has been mastered by Cheap-veteran Patrick Pulsinger.

Silky smooth house vibes from Retromigration as you would imagine. Intricate synth & sax riffs combine with perfectly timed vocal snippets to give a lush A side that wouldn’t feel out of place on KDJ.
The Earl Jeffers remix adds a bit more beef to the situation, bringing chunky Omar S style kicks for a dubbed out chunkier rework of the original.
‘Stop the Presses’ is an anthem! Ridiculous vocal work and smooth as you like shuffled beats provide the perfect setting for an absolute summer slayer.
‘You & Dion’ jacks the tempo up a notch and uses arpeggiated bass-lines and classic Retromigration wind instrument sounds to amazing effect.
