Everything shines too bright to look at. The air vibrates too fast to breathe. Smiling starts to ache, like its a task. The Void leans closer. Closer than I'd expect.

"Look at me," I shout. The Void does. It doesn't blink. Neither do I. I'm invincible, until I'm not. And deep beneath the roars of the sound, a quiet voice mutters "You're mine." 

But I don't hear it. Not yet.
