ASEC is back on his self-titled imprint with five mesmerising techno cuts featuring remixes from PoleGroup’s Kwartz and Soma’s Temudo.

ASEC is a Berlin-based artist and label project centred around raw, yet hypnotic dancefloor-oriented electronic music. To Berlin via Manchester, ASEC’s productions focus on tension and release with tracks that build momentum and intensity. As a Producer, Live Act and DJ, ASEC delivers his driving and expansive electronic music vision, consisting of dark textures, idiosyncratic melodies and dynamic drum sounds. With releases exclusively on his label, ASEC’s tracks have acquired support from household names like Marcel Dettmann, Slam, Henning Baer and SNTS resulting in a live show debut at Tresor in 2020.

‘Small Collisions’ kicks off with elastic synths shimmering off the resounding kicks and crunchy modulations before ‘High Tool’ maneuverers between hypnotic atmospheres and dark, ominous textures balanced with ghostly pads and thudding percussion with emphatic frequencies. Up next, Looping transcendental rhythms, gloopy fx and entrancing leads peppered with undulating minimalism takes focus in the ‘F Brexit’.

Madrid-based artist and PoleGroup, Mord, Semantica and Warm Up affiliate Kwartz delivers a pounding remix of ‘Small Collisions’ as the carnivorous percussion bounces with the raw oscillations, fizzing, industrial components and dramatic machine sonics. Temudo is part of a new generation of techno artists with releases on Soma, Modularz, Clergy, Synewave and more, rounds off in exquisite style with a swinging interpretation of ‘High Tool’ fusing ripping rhythms, frazzled soundscapes and penetrating textures.

Spektakel EP comes with four assorted, yet unified tracks of mischievous and sly techno. Herman opens the release with jacking rhythms, driving hi-hat patterns and a shifty synth riff. The jacking characteristics are also present in Tittut, a somewhat more minimal track with slippery grooves. With Sista ordet, things takes a different direction, with it being based on a dirty stab sequence with vocal hooks, as well as classic dirty machine funk with layers of hi-hats. Rackartyg closes the EP with a rise in tempo, classic drum machine sounds and a hectic cunning synth sequence. Sly & shifty, you may rely on us..

Involve Records starts the new year with the 3rd edition of the acclaimed Nightclub Pros series, which previously featured the likes of legends such as Maxx Rossi and DJ Ogi besides young talents like Fractions and Chlär, always keeping the balance between old-school and contemporary Techno.

Label owner Regal opens the VA with a trippy tool, reminiscent of his early basement weapons but with a warehouse-ambience. 'Undisputed' gets straight to the point without hesitation and keeps the pace high. DJ Emerson follows up with 'XTC', a rumbling cut for peak time club moments with flashing strobe-lights, giving the Van Halen classic an ecstatic Techno twist. On the flip side, Tensal from the Spanish legendary duo Exium takes a deep dive into futuristic worlds in 'Metaverse', where a brew of chopped vocals accompanies the rolling drums throughout the whole track. Up-and-coming DJ and producer _asstnt from Madrid closes the EP with 'La Línea‘, an 8-min epic march characterized by a catchy guitar riff and groovy percussion, alternating to a vocal insisting on following the line of life.

Both Roberto and his own Fossil Archive label continue to
go from strength to strength. Roberto has consistently
delivered at DJ bookings that have seen him return time
and again to the likes of Tresor and fabric, while the label
has fast become a favourite in DJ boxes and amongst
Techno heads.

The label closed 2016 on a high with its first set of
remixes from two Techno legends, Sterac and Rolando.
And now for the first release of 2017, Roberto is thrilled to
draft in the refined skills of Fachwerk's Roman Lindau.
Roberto has of course released on Fachwerk in the past
and been featured on the bill on more than one occasion
when the Berlin label have taken over Berghain, so
Roman is a fitting and very welcome addition to his UK
imprint.

Teaming up for 'Nerinea Trinodosa' on the A-side, Roman
and Roberto's production styles complement one another
perfectly on this solid peak-time offering, bringing a depth
and power that continues the Fossil Archive dedication to
raw and unfaltering beats.

Roberto then goes it alone for 'Triage' on the B-side, a
track which was already featured on Alan Fitzpatrick's
recent fabric mix CD. With its tough tribal sound and deep
bass, there's some serious funk in the groove, completing
another essential release from the Fossil Archive camp.
