Josh Wink, the man behind Ovum Recordings, has been a treasured member of the worldwide house and techno community since the early 90s. 

Throughout his long-running career, the American DJ and producer has released four albums and released on labels such as R&amp;S and Strictly Rhythm, the latter providing a home for 1995's acid smasher 'Higher State Of Consciousness'.

MindTrip Music was the creation of Buenos Aires born Juan Pablo Pfirter in 2006. The digital-only label acted as a springboard for upcoming Argentinian artists and of course, Pfirter himself, introducing those talents to the rest of the world. 
Over the years, the fledgling label allowed Juan Pablo the ability to experiment and play with music, sounds and textures and develop his own sense of direction and focus. Collaborating and drawing influence and experience from fellow MindTrip Music artists like Jonas Kopp, Flug, Markus Suckut, Psyk and Monoloc, both the label and Pfirter grew in symbiotic proportion. But after 6 years and 48 releases, Pfirter felt the need for change.

Having released on CLR, Stockholm LTD, Stroboscopic Artefacts & Figure, Pfirter’s brand of hypnotic music has touched dancers and listeners the world over. Not only limited to the clubs, Pfirter’s productions have delved deep into the experimental side too. This is the focus and framework of the new label. 
Juan Pablo reinvented and relaunched the MindTrip imprint, showcasing the full degree of his sound. The label changed its name from MindTrip Music to
just MindTrip, releasing vinyl as well as digital utilising a bespoke artwork profile.

a recent single on Innervisions and an appearance on Life & Death, his latest offering 
‘Another Thing’ marks a departure into more atmospheric soundscapes.

The murky grandeur of the title track lends itself to moody textures that build in narrative, 
walking a knife-edge between industrial techno and minimalist dub. ‘TrySome’ conjures the 
setting of a dilapidated warehouse rave at 5am, while ‘Makeless’, with its low-slung 
percussive elements draped over misty pads and imposing bass, draws the listener further 
into Monoloc’s wormhole.

Globally admired DJ and producer Riva Starr is back on Hot Creations and fired up to send dancefloors wayward with ‘Dippin’ Side.’ This time he calls on techno don Joseph Capriati to remix plus teams up with rising producers Haiku 575.

Title track ‘Dippin’ Side’ is an ultimate club banger, while Capriati’s remix skillfully strips back into a deep end roller. ‘Owls and Toucans’ brings the collaboration with Haiku 575, playing with trippy synths over heavy percussions.

Snatch! Records boss Riva Starr has released on the most esteemed underground labels, from Dirtybird, Saved and Hot Creations to his forthcoming album ‘Definition Of Sound’ on Cajual Records. His famed 'Rechunk' re-edits have given his fail safe touch to names like Daft Punk and London Grammar. Making this cross-pollination seem so effortless has won a team of supporters from Gilles Peterson to David Squillace, Adam Beyer to Pete Tong.

Joseph Capriati is recognized as one of the principal profiles in techno. From his ‘Self Portrait’ album on Drumcode in 2013 to his Music On residency at Amnesia for Marco Carola he has become one of the most in demand names in the business. Haiku 575 is a duo composed of M_Abbatangelo (manager and co-owner with Davide Squillace of This And That Lab) and Cipy (a veteran producer and long-time member of the Get Physical and Kinsdisch family), who after more than a decade of friendship decided to go into the studio together. The duo and Riva are thrilled with the release and planning more collaborations together in the future.

Underground Audio is excited to take a step back in time to the days of disco with the brand new EP ‘1970s’ by Tolstoi & Andsan. Making their debut on the label, the duo hailing from Cologne, Germany bring two seriously groovy originals that share very prominent funk and disco influences throughout. 

The EP opens  with ‘Grind’ and laces thick, funky grooves with suspenseful buildups and big drops, making it ideal for peak-time application. The track is complimented further with a very hypnotic remix by the very talented Francisco Allendes. Taking a stripped back and percussive approach, his remix is filled with layers of fast yet tense build-ups, polished to perfection with a smooth, resonating bassline underneath. 

Continuing in similar form with  ‘Back Then’, and immediately the fast-moving, heavily funk inspired bassline sets the mood of a classic groovy track. Addition of catchy vocal snaps and a well crafted drum beat keep the track pushing and grooving.

Jamie's passion for vintage hardware can be heard throughout his two original tracks Nubu and TX81. Nubu also gets a heavy remix treatment from London's rising star Roberto (Fossil Archive / Fachwerk), and Bielefeld based duo Responder (FLASH / Planet Rhythm) both adding their signature rough analogue flavours to round off the EP.

Roberto (real name: Rob Kirkaldy) is a London based Techno producer, DJ and Remixer. Considered to be one of the most exciting new UK Techno artists in recent years, he combines influences from Detroit and Amsterdam to create his own sound unique to the UK.

As a DJ, he brings a special energy to the dance floor that is the product of many years of dedication to the craft. Never one to let an audience get bored, his sets explore many angles of techno, which has seen him play at some of the most well respected clubs around the world, including fabric in London and both Tresor and Berghain in Berlin. His DJ skills have also made him a popular choice for podcasters, having been called upon to deliver mixes for esteemed shows like the CLR Podcast, Slam Radio and Electric Deluxe.

With an already impressive discography, Roberto has built his production credits with EPs on the likes of Rekids, Fachwerk, ARTS, Solar Phenomena and Obscura, as well as a host of remixes for artists like Jamie Anderson, Roberto Clementi, DJ Rolando and Shinedoe. His own tracks have been remixed by artists such as Steve Rachmad (Sterac), Mike Dehnert, Trevino and Peverelist.

At the beginning of 2015, Roberto launched his own Fossil Archive label. Predominantly a vinyl label (though releases are also available digitally), the ethos of the imprint is that it must not compromise on the sound.

As Roberto said in a recent interview with Data Transmission: “I love the fact that you can hold a piece of music in your hands. They are art pieces in their own right. Music is the product of many years of development; much like a fossil that can be buried deep underground for millions of years, until it is discovered. I wanted to ensure the music is of the highest quality, which means not rushing things.”
