After an absolutely fantastic response to his ‘Lose Control’ EP earlier this year, Daze Prism returns to the 'Introducing' platform. This new track entitled ‘Ink’ is a throwback to classic UK breaks, chopping and screwing with intense rhythms and sharp drum selections, layered with the shimmering sub bass tones below and spacious atmospherics above. It’s no secret that Daze Prism is a favourite of ours, primarily due to his phenomenal compositional diversity, keeping him at the forefront of the UK bass music spectrum.

If I had a name like Luca Thiebault I'd probably go public with it. Thinking otherwise, this  Frenchman has developed the 'Enflure' alias (meaning to swell/crescendo or grow in size). With a knack for splicing beats and arranging harmonised vocals, he's what I'd call a promising recipe. 

Today, we've been lucky enough to land the EP's title track "Unsatisfied". On first listen it fees as though I'm listening to the love child of Romare and Maribou State. A looped spiralling vocal cut weaves its way between ethnic drums and oriental sounding keys. The bass line is relentless, encouraging all those in attendance to soak it in! No bells and whistles here, just straight up, well-constructed electronica. Imagine being dragged into a pleasurable whirlpool, this my friends is "Unsatisfied". 

Pressed by calm house connoisseurs Ad Hoc Records, (home to the likes of Tommy Tickle, Yadava and Nymad) I feel this is the start of a long and healthy relationship between label and artist. Quit twiddling your thumbs and open your ears!

This Parisian DJ, Producer and avid videographer is supplying the next slice of delight from Manchester label Ad Hoc. Murmuring, whispering vocals usher in 'Way Back Home', fully immersing you in its shiny softness before you know it. The whole track has a charming warm wash about it leaving you feeling content and fuzzy. This a sound bearing all the hallmarks of a producer at ease with his craft and we cant wait to hear more from him.

Following on from its original release back in 2018, 'Part Of The Noise' by Best Youth and Moullinex gets a quartet of fresh reworks courtesy of the Discotexas crew.

First up we see the original artist Best Youth head back to the drawing board, revamping with deep haunting synth pads and throbbing bass line. Vocals linger in a reverb soaked state completely transforming the initial work laid down last year. Black Loops’ dub cut reeks of UK garage influence as rattling snares combine with rolling hats in one hell of a groove that will keep you on your toes until the early hours.

Fast rising London-based talent Breaka launches his self-titled label with ‘Breaka001’, an eclectic batch of electronic excursions traversing the realms of breaks and bass with tons of UK flavor. 
 
Breaka had this to say on the new material: “This record is a special project for me. Releasing myself has allowed me to collect four tracks reflecting different sides of my musical world. ‘Breaka001’ opens with ‘Icy Grills’, a classic Breaka style track based on Breaks, 808s and euphoric melodies. ‘Stretch 130’ is a portal into the world of Stretchy Dance Supply, a workout-based club night I co-created. It’s one to limber up and get down to. The B-side starts with ‘Apricot Cocktails’, a track inspired by the classic Broken Beat sound. I made the instrumental in 2018, but the track got a new lease of life when paired with vocals written and performed by soul diva Lydia Kotsirea. The EP comes to a close with another collaboration, this time working with producer and session guitarist Bradley Hutchings (Guava). I often open my sets with this one. I think you’re going to love it.”
