Paurro lives with three bitches (female dogs). One of them is called Gala and she’s black from head to toe. In dreams she’s a raver that takes different shapes on the floor as “Techno Gala”, or in drag as “Galaxia”. In these visions, a friend of Paurro baptised her with the name: “Galavisión” - that night when she played for the first time alongside Matías Aguayo in Zipolite. This random memory of a perfect night gave name to this EP, which is 100% inspired in Gala: an aerodynamic monster full of joy!

Rave Soup
This soup (or are we talking about a stew?) includes all essential elements for the much-missed rave experience! Its fundamental ingredient is a stir - fried bass line, to which finely chopped breakbeats are added, plus braising kicks, hi hats and snare drums until golden and crispy - then finally adding a gallon of ambient broth - and letting the soup on the hot stove to boil constantly at the perfect temperature until ready with the next mix.

Native to Sweden, the Manchester based artist Bobo has set out to free himself from the terrestrial bonds of earth and explore the ephemeral sounds of the outer atmosphere.  

Leaning into this stylistic predisposition, Contact takes characteristic elements from the worlds of dubstep, ambient, breaks, electro and techno to create bold, cinematic textures and otherworldly imagery.

With previous releases on Gestalt Records, Gunfinger Food, Eluize’s Night Tide and Further Electronix - alongside his own Bars of Beats and PSU projects - we’re super delighted to now officially welcome him to the Erbium family!

The Lagaffe boys have a special one for you. Lagaffe 10 marks the 10th EP in our vinyl series and serves as a perfect way to end our 10th year in existence. To mark this occasion we are releasing a 4 tracker with our founders and label regulars. 

The EP opens up with Choen Social Club by Flexi Leifs aka Felix Leifur. Our man Felix lost his drum machines last spring but luckily he found a guitar and some drums. The track starts off with suspicious sounding guitar notes that somehow up as pure beauty, giving hope in the darkest of places. Frodo with the ring stuff, if you know what I mean. Playful reverbs and echos give the tune the classic Felix Leifur feel to it! 

Next up is "We are not alone " by label boss Jonbjörn. I think this is what Elton John meant when he said "thank god for those electro bangers!" Solid 909 drum work featuring dramatic chords and some original vocal work. If you can spot the sample write us on Soundcloud and you might win a year's worth of LaCafe Tales! 

Moff & Tarkin has the next track "Pure Fury", some breakbeats and cheesy disco vocals, why change a winning recipe? 

With "Að handan" Viktor Birgiss comes back to the label in style. Our mastering engineer described it as having the loudest kickdrum in history, imagine that! Lo fi dub sounding drums interlaced with atmospheric chords, made for those late night intimate moments on the dancefloor, again Frodo with the ring stuff, if you know what I mean.

It’s been exactly one year since we interviewed Man Power for our MixedBy series. Since then, The Me Me Me founder has launched himself back into the world, returning to some form of normalcy post-COVID. The British maestro is back to throwing regular gigs in his home base of Newcastle and is touring once again, bringing his world-renowned DJ sets back to the masses.

To mark his welcomed return, Man Power has partnered with Finnish imprint Echocentric Records to release his first vinyl record of the year! Titled “Space Walk,” this EP contains a total of 3-tracks and sees Man Power in his element dishing out his signature sounds that have been labeled as ‘intergalactic house.’ However, in his latest rendition, the beats have more of a tribal feeling – resembling something closer to home than some of his extraterrestrial belters.

Case and point, we are premiering the A2 from the record titled “What a Puny Plan.” Like most dance tracks of this variety, I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on the track's name, but instead, concentrate on its melodies. The song grabs your attention immediately with its gyrating bassline and almost ancestral-sounding percussion. This gives the listener the feeling as if an ancient ritual is about to take place and that Man Power is the shaman leading the procession. Man Power then continues to layer in waves of ethereal synths over menacing horns that give the tune some much-needed gravity – compelling the dancefloor to come together and groove as one. “What a Puny Plan” might be the closest thing you’ll come to having a religious experience at the club and we’re ready to repent for our sins!

PREMIERE: Man Power - What A Puny Plan

An EP of limbo-inducing squelch courtesy of our good friends Latrec aka Andy Bainbridge and Serious Hots, ft. techno flavoured remixes from Bristolian pal Remotif & our very own Matt Cowell & Johnny Aux as The W.C. Enjoy. 

In the furthest reaches of the cosmos, the intergalactic community gathers for the annual Kutika Limbo finals. 

Reigning champion Latrec draws the first straw and the percussion rolls excitedly as he steps up to the pole. Kutika glides lithely under the bar, tentacles wobbling to the acid rhythm. He celebrates his victory as the crowd chants in a glitchy alien dialect. “Kutika-tika-tika-tika!” 

Second in line, Latrec’s younger brother Dub Mix steps up for his first limbo. Shorter and stockier than his brother, we don’t know what to expect from this one. Once again the percussion rolls, the crowd gasps as his squidgy exoskeleton melts before their eyes, reforming on the other side of the bar - ‘blooooop’. The crowd goes wild “Kut-Kut!” 

Next up is The W.C. Events take a strange turn as they forgo the competition, instead they walk to the stage to sweep the band aside, hijacking control of the instruments. Heavy percussive hits twist spacetime with material melting bass throbs. The crowd goes wild as the fabric of reality collapses around them.  

Last but by no means least is Remotif, a techno unit resembling a giant cluster of biceps stands staring at the limbo pole, chaos erupting around him. The tempo of the percussion rises in anticipation and acid thunder roars in the background. Remotif picks up the bar, blinks, and hurls it off into the furthest reaches of the galaxy never to be seen again.

PREMIERE: Recut - Trip This Way [Recut Music]

CUERPOS returns with the “En Dos Partes” EP on YUNG DUMB Records, a follow-up to their self-released record from 2021, “Plumas”. The title of the EP translates to “in two places” and is a nod to the duo’s diverse musical background in both punk and electronic music.

 The record features three original tracks – plus one remix – that span house, post-punk, and dub. With this release, the Canadian duo once again showcase their unique approach to dance music, fusing live instrumentation with raw vocal takes and dusty drums.

 The first track, Sueño Sin Fin, is an upbeat dance track that pairs a driving bassline with catchy vocals. This track is reworked by the Montreal-based DJ and producer, Regularfantasy, with the adventurous DJ and the dancefloor in mind. The third track of the EP, Malas Lenguas, is a moody, downtempo house cut with post-punk and dub leanings. Finally, the EP is rounded out with a dub track that features a lurching bassline, whirring FX, and live percussion.

 CUERPOS is a Newfoundland-based experimental music duo formed in 2019 by DJ/producer Francis Dawson and multi-instrumentalist Nadia Duman. Created with the intention of celebrating their Latin roots and recontextualizing the sounds they grew up listening to, CUERPOS combines elements from Latin and Caribbean music – cumbia, dub, reggae – with club-ready electronic beats and production.

PREMIERE: Cuerpos - Sueño Sin Fin (Regularfantasy Remix) [YUNG DUMB Records]

Stories would be told about him one day, that was for certain. As the sun began to set he looked out over his small village and considered his options, might he run away or stay and fight. The light was fading slowly and it felt symbolic of the way in which his own time was running out.

Never had he imagined he might be forced out like this, yet his truth was all that mattered now and the stories that he’d leave behind would go down to be those of mischief and meander. Perhaps it was always supposed to be this way, a Lahla boy running wild and free with no place to go.

Supreems is set to release a new album on the newly launched Sweet Sun. It features a number of emotive electronic cuts channeling elements of broken beat, breaks, UK bass and beyond. This track features vocals from Off the Meds affiliated vocalist Kamohelo.
