The duo is named after a fictional setting called the VIVA Precinct. The “precinct” is modelled on historic towns and districts such as SophiaTown, District 6, Marabastad etc. If the “precinct” really did exist it would most probably be in south africa’s Creative Capital, Cape Town. The Viva Precinct is where intellectuals such as writers, actors, artists, dancers, creatives and those who question and debate with society gather to voice their opinions, share new ideas, debate about issues that affect them and share their dreams and wishes for the future.
