Hartshead Power Session - Side A

I've written for a whole spectrum of music outlets - from Data Transmission to Inverted Audio, the much loved Ibiza Voice and even contributions to FACT and Fabric. Mainly, this involves listening to sounds, deciding whether I like them or not, and then making words happen about them.

Sometimes the sounds find their way onto mixes (when I have the time between dealing with children and a demanding day job) some of which you can hear on here.

My sounds are myriad. One mix does not sound like the next.

Ive hit my limit of 2000 following, so if you dont mind waiting a week or so, those that want following back i will have a clear out then.Thanks.

I started mixing after attending underground music events in Birmingham UK around 2004 and was given the opportunity to play at some of the best clubs that the city had to offer after giving out demo cd’s. I enjoyed playing regularly on the Birmingham dance scene at nights such as Afterssential and Funkissentail @ Subway City where I played 4x4 speed garage in the back room and Hardhouse in the main room, I became a resident for Shine, one of the best after party clubs in Birmingham and moved on to playing techno influenced by Atomic Jam and House of God events that took place at the legendary Que Club in Birmingham. I moved abroad to work around 2012 and dj’ing fell to the wayside, but I continued to create mixes, mainly techno but also going back to my early years and creating funky house and Hardhouse mixes. Today I work full-time but like to create the Techclub series of monthly Techno mixes of tracks that are consistently on my listening schedule.

House music lover since around 1988. Stu Allen key 103 Piccadilly Radio. The acid days. The rave days. Quadrant Park. Farnworth Pleasuredome. Legends Raves Warrington. Cream. Liverpool. Life@Bowlers. 3Beat Records on a Saturday. Hot Wax. Pete tong Essential selection. 

All of that was the catalyst. Had some citronics and crappy, borrowed belt driven drives for really poor efforts at DJing local youth clubs and occasional private parties. Kept up the music love and bedroom DJing. 

More recently enjoyed bringing the rave to fitness boot camps and the ambient soulful melodic house to Crosby Beach. Sunsets and sunny days been amazing.  As seems common, edits, reworks, mashups, production, DJStudio-DAW and AbletonLive followed along with Drumming and Music Production.  It's all fun.  Thanks for listening.
