Portuguese artist Delectatio is a new signing to Silk Sofa. His EP, "Sunrise", features four unique and unforgettable downtempo cuts.

"Numinous" starts with intriguing guitar riffs and enjoyable melodies on top. Soon, intricate percussion elements as well as hypnotizing vocal stems emerge, while the delightful theme melody continues to liven up the soundscape. A blissful guitar line and soothing percussion elements introduce "Be Free". Fascinating vocal stems are added later, thereby adding an extra layer of delicate and refreshing textures. "Remember" begins with a stunning atmosphere, including a number of lush synths and an intricate bassline. A mesmerizing arpeggio melody emerges later, and numerous sound effects continuously spice up the soundscape. The final song in this package is "Latibule". Beautiful melodies are quickly established, and multiple new layers are added on top, as the song progresses. The soothing breakbeat comforts the listener even further.

Uncage, the label curated by Marco Faraone, proudly presents the six-track journey, “The Overtones EP”, a collaboration between Marco Faraone and Yoav Nizri, a rising talent marking his second release on UNCAGE. Known for pushing hypnotic and textural techno, this release showcases their combined ability to craft deep, atmospheric cuts with relentless energy and precision.

“The Overtones” blends rolling percussion, pulsating low-end, and layered melodies, creating a hypnotic and driving experience designed for late-night immersion. “Ralaoci” leans into intricate percussion and evolving synth textures, balancing tension and release with a sleek underground edge.

“Other Expression” carries a warm, groove-driven flow, weaving basslines and subtle melodic layers into a sophisticated club piece. On “Organized Cut”, the duo explores percussive and groove-heavy rhythms, adding crisp textures for refined dance floor energy.

“Torin” layers atmospheric elements and evolving synth work over rolling percussion, building hypnotic tension throughout. Closing the EP, “Enhances” delivers crisp percussion, airy pads, and understated melodic drive, perfect for immersive late-night moments.

Tuscany-born and Barcelona-based, Marco Faraone has carved out a reputation as one of techno’s most respected names, with performances at Fabric, Panorama Bar, and DC10 and releases across leading labels such as Drumcode, Rekids, and Defected. His imprint UNCAGE has become a hub for forward-thinking sounds, with releases from Radio Slave, Mark Broom, Donato Dozzy, and new-wave talents like Anfisa Letyago.

Yoav Nizri, a promising newcomer, made his debut with his Elmot EP on UNCAGE and now takes a bold step forward with this second release alongside Marco. With raw energy and an ear for hypnotic textures, he continues to shape his identity as one of techno’s rising forces.

With “The Overtones EP,” Marco Faraone & Yoav Nizri deliver a cohesive and hypnotic statement, marking another confident step in both artists’ journeys and a powerful addition to the Uncage catalogue.

Diasiva provide us with #007 in our podcast series, an all Diasiva playlist that includes tracks spanning their 7 year discography + a collection of unreleased material.

Produced in a symbiosis of perfectly unaligned and uncalibrated modular synthesis, “Thirst” is Diasiva pushing current DSP technology to its edges, their sound is informed by a weekly meeting of sonic experimentation and exploration in their Neukölln studio, drawing inspiration from the detritus of West Berlin. “Thirst” represents the ongoing evolution of Diasiva from sledge-hammer logic into expression in motion, welding IDM & deconstructed breaks to pure sonic abstraction, embracing visions of a brighter future yet leading curious eyes toward the ever present darkness, holding the hand of the likeminded, marching together toward the abyss.

Diasiva are Monolog and Swarm Intelligence, formed in 2011 for the first edition of Burn The Machine Festival in Subland, Berlin, playing numerous live sets around Berlin after this, including the following Burn the Machine. In 2016, they released their debut LP “Doublefade” on the seminal Ohm Resistance label, later that year, they released “Sabo” on Monolog & Subtrakt imprint, 2017 saw their Station 1805 EP released on Acroplane. The duo now returns for their debut EP on Instruments of Discipline.

CONCEPTUAL offers ten diverse approaches to sci-fi techno, ranging from the cinematic Red Sun and Null Respect to the dynamic and floor oriented numbers like Basilisk, Nocturnal, or Blue Spirit, to the twisted and abstract Upside Down, Healing Dance or More Wants More, or the tribal and shuffled exercises like Paradise of Poets and Tasmanian Devil.

The track we selected for the premiere is Nocturnal, a dance floor ready and experimental groover, that's relentless, trippy and hypnotic all at the same time.

Noise, idiomatic synth and electronic percussion; industrial anti-anthems of perseverance, desire and despair.

Octonomy is the moniker of Heidi Lorenz, a Brooklyn-based sound artist. Octonomy spans multiple genres; harsh noise to darkwave to industrial and techno. She uses found sounds, field recordings, voice, power tools, samples, noise, reverb and distortion sequenced through hardware synthesizers to create pulsing, rhythmic soundscapes. Her DJ sets tend to be high-energy, harsh and punishing. Thematically, her work delves into themes of occultism, anti-religion & anti-capitalism.

In addition to her sound design, songwriting and DJ work as Octonomy, she has done a number of commissioned sound pieces and longform ambient compositions for experiential spaces, performances and immersive installations, and has incorporated her soundscapes by way of utilizing various different responsive software and hardware-based technologies.

Episode 082 and I'm joined by Barcelona's Digital Vault.

After two decades of supporting the electronic music scene in Barcelona, Digital Vault as a DJ, likes to explore various industrial rhythms and eclectic influences, all in line with his musical taste. Techno, Industrial noise and EBM are his favorite music styles, somewhere between gray and industrial sounds and broken voices. He has shared line-ups with artists like Unhuman, REKA, Headless Horseman, Codex Empire, Parallx, German Aair and NVA, and played in clubs like The Garage of the Bass Valley, LAUT, Macarena and M7 in Barcelona or Lanna Club in Asturias, Spain. He has currently started an event promotion project called Dominant, in Barcelona. The musical spectrum will range from techno, industrial, EBM and post punk to all kinds of dark sounds. Dominant invites Techno, Industrial and experimental artists to play as well as Dj’s from the local scene.
