Heavily inspired by the UK sounds of garage, jungle and breakbeat, the duo's first outing on the label encapsulates everything you might hear in a Local Group set. ‘Rhythmic Trip’ is an emotional, breaksy number; meandering out of dark tones and patterns and into large vocal samples and uplifting odes to classic hardcore.

Netil Radio resident Angel D’lites Dolphins Have Sex For Pleasure release on Banoffee Pie Records last year has already gone down as something of a contemporary classic, and here she continues in typically high velocity fashion with a wicked 150bpm lovecore remix of the Local Group original.

‘Watch This Beat’ nods to the right side of happy hardcore - its chipmunk vocals, ravey piano stabs and snappy breakbeats providing plenty of gun-finger induced, rush-in-the-rave moments - before ‘Work That Thing’ closes the door with a scratch-sampled cut of electro that sounds like it was taken from the middle of a Jerome Hill set.

It was February 2021. Mortal time.
Antariksh Records had just released Radiant Energy EP by Madhav Jolly (Sentient). Over the next few mortal weeks, the interstellar airwaves were dominated by the Radiant Energy of rave and techno emerging from India, Earth. Sentient beings, spirits, and metaphysical ether - all immersed in the cosmic unity of rave. The sentient beings thus demanded seven worthy cosmic knights to unite After Midnight and recreate the sounds of rave, forged using mystical acid and jungle wizardry. Thus unleashing upon this gross materiality, the tunes of dance, the churning electro hum of the seven elements, the rave falling upon mortal ears from the heavens of electronic music. The Marbreaks Mix comes from Mumbai-based producer Marbman (aka Aalhad Joshi) who revisits the label after his acclaimed split EP on Antariksh Records with Glasgow-based music producer Kleur.

Today we premiere a track from one of Ireland’s most talented but also under rated producers, Dan Ryan. Dan is back with another monumental self release, channelling classical musical sampling and intertwining it with symphonic breaks.

Dan Ryan is a Dublin native and has been making music for years, with some of his older tracks such as Housewerk from 2012 still finding their ways onto dance floors to this day. 

The Dublin native has been making tunes and self releasing them for over a decade. The somewhat elusive Dublin born producer was a resident at Mr.Jones in Twisted Pepper. Dans style is hard to nail down. But expect lots of vocal samples and breaks.

Dan’s track ‘Something Positive’ was a bonafide homegrown lockdown classic. The 2020 self release was accompanied by arbitrary clips, they come together to create an enlightening movement through the track. The track received massive support and praise throughout the Irish music community and within Four Four Mag too.

‘Everything In Its Place’ picks up exactly where Dan left off. The latest single is a bold and brilliant breakbeat take on classical music. A concession of spiralling strings swarm the track and create an uneasy but somewhat uplifting atmosphere. It’s an excellent use of sampling and complements the breakbeats and powerful bass excellently.

IMOGEN returns to Sunil Sharpe’s Earwiggle imprint, this time with Ben Pest for their first full release together, ‘Volts’, out today. Over the four tracks, the pair showcase their diverse style as crossover the realms of raw techno and UK hardcore, channeling volcanic energy. ‘Shibooty’ is a perky take on Chi-town techno with cartoonish vocal sequences, humming bass and elevated funk levels. It’s a groover!

IMOGEN is a resident at NTS and fabric and has previously released on femme culture, HE.SHE.THEY, Lobster Theremin amongst others. Bristol-based artist Ben Pest has collaborated with Radioactive Man, made appearances on Off Me Nut, Riot Radio Records, and Asking For Trouble and released under the OverworX moniker.
