Dave Era aka David Shortt is a Dj/Producer from Galway. He co-owns Devoid, a collective based in Galway, and is a resident of A Collective out of Athlone. He's played in venues across Ireland such as 39/40, Carbon, The Loft, The Cellar, Karma, Ozone and many more.

We’ve got a heavy-hitting techno weapon from DAVE ERA to soundtrack the sunshine. Slamming bass drums, rave-soaked synth lines, and catchy vocals make this an instant dancefloor tool.

DAVE ERA also known as David Shortt, is a Galway-based DJ/Producer. He co-owns Devoid Collective which aims to bring a refreshing take on dance music culture in the West of Ireland. He is slo a resident of A Collective in his hometown of Athlone.

David has refined his sound over the last few years, bringing a fresh touch to his music, while remaining faithful to his roots which are embedded within the traditional aspects of house, techno, and rave. His sound is both raw & banging yet euphoric and melodic as he leans on uplifting melodies, breaks, stabs, and direct 909 power.

Previous releases on Four Four, Zone Focus, Verve, Houz, CNTRL, and Rave Residence have cemented his name as an emerging producer with a distinct dancefloor-centered sound. His tracks have been supported by heavy-weight names such as Trym, Franck, Fjaak, Rebuke, and Ewan McVicar, further vindicating his dedication to his craft.

DAVE ERA’s latest offering steers into harder territories as he references vintage rave techno, with the use of punchy hardcore stabs, breakbeats, and slamming kick drums. This is a no-messing rave techno affair as DAVE ERA delivers a punishingly tough techno tool, with trickles of inspiration from modern stalwarts FJAAK & KETTAMA coming through.
