The first premiere of the week comes from Wicklow, as we feature the young DJ and producer X23's track 'It Will Happen' from his 'Dull Blank Faces' EP

While we wait out the latest lockdown, and dream of soundsystems in fields, this latest premiere will no doubt blow the cobwebs away. 

Hailing from Wicklow, X23 kick-started his production career at the young age of 17 and has since gone on to be a relentless force to be reckoned with, as his unmistakable sound of hardcore and industrial techno has been picked up by labels such as Occult Rhythms, Crusade and Insane Industry.

Today we feature his track 'It Will Happen', which is a fully fledged assault into the unknown limits of his sounds, as he delivers a track fit for a Possession rave in Paris, or within an I Hate Models thunderous set of madness. 

The EP is out later this month [March 27th] on Belgian label Normative, and will feature a remix from VENDEX and Irish heavy-hitter, NKTRNL.

Luca C. aka RemPhase was born in 1993 in Caserta. As a child he began to be passionate about the world of music, at the age of 12 he began studying the electric bass. Deepening his studies at the conservatory, he was able to collaborate with different realities of the Casertana scene. Collaborating with various bands and cover bands, his music evolved from punk to metal, and then was inspired by the search for increasingly electronic and avant-garde sounds. Total immersion in the world of Techno in 2012. In 2017 he founded, with his partner D.C., Technomind; online platform of the world of techno, content sharing and promo in Italy and abroad. Right from the start he collaborated with the emerging realities of his area, performing in some events.

Andrew Bowen & Dimitri Poumplidis, better known to the public as AnD, had accompanied REPITCH Recordings through its early stages of existence. Their two previous offerings for the Berlin-based label came respectively in 2012 and 2014, acting as cornerstones for Repitch, marking crucial points in the evolution and definition of its sound. It is only now, after a 6-year absence from the RR catalog, that the duo makes its return with ‘Beast Mode’, a five-tracker that shows no sign of giving way to softer or less energetic sounds. These are bangers: nothing more and nothing less than rave-ready, hard-thumping, bass-blasting club stompers. Ever championing of the hardest side of techno, AnD have prepared a pack of non-compromising menaces to quiet, capable of making the floor quake by means of pure, unadulterated four-to-the-floor thickness and synthetic stabbing power. This kind of attitude led them to form many kinships with similarly minded DJs and producers, the latest of which is hardcore maestro Alberto Guerrini AKA Gabber Eleganza, who turned ‘Emergency Procedures’ into an even harder affair, driving the mix into the red and turning the beat into a freakishly crippled juggernaut.

Drumcode heavyweights Pig&Dan and Victor Ruiz link for their maiden collaborative EP.

The project begun in the first quarter of the year when the artists were still touring and was later completed during a series of productive sessions after lockdown – Pig&Dan members Dan Duncan and Igor Tchkotoua experiencing a creative synergy with close friend Victor Ruiz that injected some lightness into an otherwise challenging time for the trio of producers.

‘Consciousness’ is driven by a catch low-end riff that’s powerful and funky in equal measures and is a particular favourite of Adam Beyer’s, highlighting the boss’ Drumcode Indoors II and Tomorrowland’s United Through Music stream.
