And while fusing their genre-defining styles with one hand, they made a pinky promise with the other: Time to finally hit the studio together and make a record as energetic and fun-loving as their many encounters. And luckily for us, their commitment issues didn't kick in. The result is CHB004 - a pumping house EP that's sure to drive dance floors into a frenzy. With 'Do It For You’, the high energy Sax House anthem, and 'Get On Up' a disco banger with charged up diva vocals that seals the bond between these two joy spreaders and gives hope for many more pinky promises to come.

Irish man Doug Cooney is next up for our Global Mix series.

Doug has been one of the driving forces in Irish techno for a number of years now, both his productions and his DJ sets are marveled around the country and further afield, receiving support from the likes of Bens Sims, Answer Code Request and Jon Hester.


Doug also runs his very own label and independent school named Real//Sound, the music school helps aspiring DJs and producers in Dublin, showcasing unearthed talent in Dublin and the whole of Ireland.

Doug Cooney lives and breathes techno within every facet of his life and has dedicated many years to the growth and well-being of the genre in Ireland. From setting up one of Ireland’s best techno labels RLSD to teaching in Bray Institute Of Further Education, alongside teaching his RLSD classes, to churning out proper techno 12 inches, there are few Irish DJs and producers that come close to Doug Cooney in terms of impact on the Irish techno scene.

Doug Cooney also boasts of being one of the most technically gifted DJs on the isle of Ireland. Meticulous attention to detail behind a set of turntables has seen Cooney share the booth with formidable techno figures such as Dave Clarke, James Ruskin, UVB, Mark Broom, and more. Doug has a number of distinguished international gigs under his belt, with a debut at the fabled Tresor in Berlin alongside HöR being the highlights.

In recent years Doug has been burning the midnight oil in the studio, crafting high-octane and distinctly functional techno tracks. Cooney has recently signed records with respected labels such as Ed Davenport's Counterchange, Orbis, GND, Gynoid, EFR, Bastardo Electrico, N&N Records, alongside RLSD Records his own imprint laying a solid foundation for his future in music. His productions have received support from Dave Clarke,  Ben Sims, Luke Slater, Rodhad, KR!Z, and Answer Code Request. Doug’s tracks have also been remixed by Aiken, Binny, Lee Holman, and Dystopian records' Jon Hester, proving his calibre in the international arena.
