CRYME x Christoph Faust - Things We Used To Say (Original Mix)

SEVEN proudly releases their second EP from label co-founder CRYME, titled Reality Rush. This EP blends classic, atmospheric house with a modern mix. Early access is exclusively on Beatport from January 2, 2025. It will be available on all major platforms and in stores on January 16, 2025. 4 Track vinyl with a 5 Track DIgital release.

Reality Rush is an upbeat house track with playful sound design, classic drums, steady rhythm, and a powerful bassline. It sets an energetic foundation for the EP, inviting listeners to explore SEVEN's distinct sound, balancing house and techno.

Christoph Faust's remix of Reality Rush is inspired by the Detroit sound. It features a heavier kick, slower tempo, and a more sluggish vibe. He retained the big synth stabs, reversed the vocals, and added familiar old school vocal samples.

Mesmer reimagines Reality Rush with reverb and delay, adding depth while maintaining a mellow, laid-back vibe complimenting to the original.

Aurora is a stripped back to basics track under the concept of: Less is more. It has a soothing, laid-back vibe with percussion-driven beats and prominent congas, perfect for a late-night ride through the city.

Orbit Exp.  takes listeners out of this orbit. This groovy house track features ever-changing, pulsating pads that create and release tension, giving the illusion of drifting away in space.

This week’s Local Selection comes from JUSTDYL, who melds deep and gritty dubby cuts with fluorescent Balearic sun-kissed grooves, toeing the line between glossy progressive house and head-down rave energy.

Hailing from North Dublin, JUSTDYL has been embedded in music culture since his early teens. Now 24, his decade-long involvement with DJing has shaped a sound that’s as instinctive as it is considered. A dedicated digger with an ear for detail, he’s spent years refining a style that moves fluidly across genre lines. Effortlessly weaving through progressive, techno, house and the spaces in between.

This mix is a snapshot of the club sound that resonates most with him. Playful, propulsive, and rich in progression. “I didn’t want to overthink it,” he says. “It’s just a sound I love, and something that reflects what I enjoy playing out.”

What results is a set that feels natural, intuitive, music for dancers and deep listeners alike. It bridges past and present with an ear turned toward movement, progression, and vibe. “I feel this mix represents a glimpse of some of the stuff I love to play while also capturing a progressive sound in music from the past.”

Dash is a Slovenian DJ based in Berlin, drawing inspiration from Italo Disco, Indie Dance, Synthwave, EBM, and everything in between.
She is the founder of Pozione d’amore, an Italo Disco event series held at Slovenia’s top venue, Klub K4. Through this project, she has introduced these sounds to local audiences, sharing the stage with iconic artists such as Kendal, Andi Harriman, and Maruwa. Dash is also active in Berlin’s club scene, performing at venues like Kater Blau, ELSE and Aeden. 
Her international podcast presence includes appearances on HÖR Berlin, Loone Berlin, Italorator (NL), and MINITEL (FR) – further expanding her global reach.

Venezuela’s Confidential Recipe & Scottish artist Harvey McKay come back to Radio Slave’s techno-leaning RSPX offshoot with their first collaboration, the ‘Bad Man’ EP, arriving 18th July 2025. The release, drawing inspiration from the Chicagoan Dance Mania label, opens with the title track, a syncopated techno slammer driven by booming kicks, fizzing hi-hats, and up vocal chops. Fragmented samples and textured stabs inject raw energy, building tension before the drop hits hard.

Going second, ‘Move It’ is a relentless deep techno cut with rolling bass, sonar-like synth pulses, and jacked-up percussion, engineered for maximum effect on the dancefloor, already supported by Mark Broom, Tasha & Elisa Bee.

Confidential Recipe fuses rave, techno, electro, and breaks with razor-sharp precision – a sound he’s honed over more than a decade through his Kontra imprint and standout releases on Rekids and its RSPX sublabel. Scottish producer Harvey McKay, known for his dark, driving techno, joined the RSPX roster in 2024 with his ‘DV8’ EP, adding to a catalogue that includes Phantasy Sound, Bek Audio, and Cocoon, with his productions having won consistent support from notable artists such as Laurent Garnier, DJ Bone, Carista, and Luke Slater.
