Already a regular studio collaborator with Richy Ahmed, Michael Jansons AKA Jansons (@jansonsmusic) strikes it solo on the fourth release for Richy’s flourishing Four Thirty Two label.  

The “Mode” EP finds Jansons following up from recent chart topping original releases and remixes for Knee Deep In Sound, Lower East and his “Panic At The Disco” single on Leftroom, which is their best selling single on Beatport to date.  It’s a bumper 4 track EP, showcasing and encapsulating the many shades of Jansons unique sound, and bolstered with a remix from aforementioned collaborator and label boss, Richy Ahmed.

The Original Mix of “Mode” comes correct with plenty of classic house music chops; frenetic synth keys jab away over a rubbery, percussive groove for a sophisticated and energizing club cut, whilst Ahmed plumps for a real old skool flavor on his remix.  Chugging drums and a tight bassline give more than a whiff of classic Windy City house vibes on this killer remix. 

Two versions of “Colours” are packed with hypnotizing string riffs and bumpin’ percussion, with the “Alternative Mix” edging it in the more stripped down techno stakes, whilst “Sequential” find Jansons in disco mood, with rolling drums, string stabs and a deadly bottom end groove that wraps up a fine release from this burgeoning British talent.

Hot Creations are launching a new ‘Paradise on Earth’ DJ Mix series with the first instalment coming as a Mexico special from Paradise residents and label regulars Nathan Barato and Patrick Topping. Each mix is expertly crafted, fusing musical influences with exclusive new material alongside current favourites for your listening pleasure.

The first CD comes from Toronto-based DJ & producer Nathan Barato, an artist that has been on the rapid rise with releases on Cajual, MOOD, Relief, Saved, Circus Records, Defected and of course Hot Creations. Barato’s mix kickstarts with the sonorous opening of Derrick Carter’s ‘Where You at?’ soon venturing into big dancefloor movers like Moritz Piske ‘Dirt Cabana’ and Makam’s ‘Loletta’. Nathan explains, "This is the first compilation I've done, so I was nervous and excited when building the tracklist. I wasn't inclined to make a mix that was only bombs ...I wanted to express myself and show a different side of my sound.”

UK talent Patrick Topping has cemented his status as one of the most in demand names in dance music and this year completing his third summer as resident at DC10 in Ibiza for Paradise. Here Patrick showcases the sound and style of his sets with hi-energy from the word go. “This was my first time putting together a licensed mix and it was such a fun project. Most the tracks are older but I was also luckily enough to include some of my favourite unreleased tracks of the moment. Thanks to Oli Furness, Jack N Jerk, Sean Miller & Elliot Adamson for letting me use these. There are also 3 brand new productions of mine in here.” - Patrick Topping

Since label head and visionary Jamie Jones began his Paradise night at DC10 in Ibiza five years ago, the night has gone on to be by far one of the biggest on the island, inviting the biggest names in the business to come play alongside his solid crew of talented friends and residents. We’re ending July, with the heat rising and elrow Music is going to tear up some dancefloors with yet another huge EP in the hands of two usual suspects in the scene. ERM109 is delivered by Caal & Baum, two characters that know elrow’s vibe and crowds to perfection. ‘Downtown EP’ is a two-tracker short take by the two Spaniards, that bring us a pair of real house bangers. Opening the EP we have ‘Donwtown Beat (Original Mix)’, a track that starts with a playful percussion, a crazy vocal loop, a groovy progression and some really funky FX, making this track an authentic incarnation of elrow’s dancefloor vibes: joy and electronic madness with that carnivalesque feel to it. Then we have ‘Funkin (Original Mix)’, with a slower start, but that grows in strength, with a tighter percussion, a great hi-hat combo, stronger bass drum and alien sound FX and synth treatment, with the highlight being the steady male vocals along the track, that give this song a character and of its own. Both productions are ready to tear many dancefloors apart during the summer months, and strengthen elrow Music’s position as one of the most in-shape labels in the tech-house scene this year!

Angelo Ferreri began producing tracks in the early noughties and has since formed two record labels and produced over 100 tracks. ‘Want To Say EP’ is his first release for the Miami-based Soulfuric family, a name that stands as one of the most renowned labels in house music. The three-track EP remains true to the record label’s soulful roots, moving through groove-laden jazz, disco and 90s influences, demonstrating the producer’s ability to create versatility with rounded feel-good vibes. The title track collides the worlds of 90s house with a real jazz influence, offering funky piano riffs behind a pumping beat. ‘I’m Talking To You’ has an up-tempo classic disco backdrop with a kicking bass and soul backing vocals. Finally, ‘The Real Ghetto’ (Extended Mix) takes a southern turn with hollering vocals and electric guitar solos. A truly sun-soaked Soulfuric Trax debut from the Sicilian-born producer.

After getting Defected’s attention with his 'Disco Connection' release in 2016, Italian DJ Qubiko blossoms with this production debut for Defected Records. ‘These Days EP’ is a three-track release featuring some quintessential Defected moments. The title track, a collaboration with young fellow Italian K-909, has echoes of Kings Of Tomorrow’s style, with velvety female vocals over a club-focused 4/4. Likewise, ‘Set Me Free’ features gorgeous vocals and tight hi-hat accents giving it that classic house association, while ‘Raw Luv’ goes deeper with a steady disco build and a pacey feel-good vibe. It’s a timeless piece of work from the Defected newcomer.
