The band comprises brothers Shane and Fiachra Hayes on accordion and fiddle/banjo and accompanied by Aodán Coyne on guitar and vocals. This young trad trio from Country Clare blend Irish traditional melodies with and innovative rhythmic and melodic garnish. These socks are audibly palatable!
 
Having gained a fan-base from four years of gigging around the west of Ireland, this exciting group have recently started branching out and have been well received for their modern traditional style and energetic approach to music. This, combined with an acoustic musical interplay, three-part harmony and an obvious love for live performance, compliments the traditional essence of both tune and songs in a fresh and entertaining way.
 
The CD itself offers a dozen lovingly worked tracks which the lads are eager to showcase both on this album and at their musically charged gigs.

	FourWinds is an Irish traditional music band that got together in 2013. The idea of forming a band had been in all four members mind for a while. Caroline Keane and Tom Delany had previously toured and recorded  their EP "Framework" together while Daoiri Farrell and Robbie Walsh had been performing and travelling internationally with various bands such as Blasta and The Daoiri Farrell Band. In the meantime Caroline and Daoiri also played together in Solid Clarity. It was only a matter of time until the four of them joined forces to create the unique sound that is FourWinds. 

	The band consists of: 
Daoiri Farrell (Vocals and Bouzouki.)
 Daoiri's versatile repertoire consists of Irish traditional songs, humour ballads, songs of exile, popular contemporary songs and much more, with a particular grá for uncovering much less well known songs.  

 Caroline Keane (Concertina). From a young age, Caroline was exposed to the richness of West Limerick and Sliabh Luachra traditional music, an influence which has become the cornerstone of her uniquely vibrant, passionate and emotive style of concertina playing. 

Robbie Walsh  (bodhran, percussions and backing vocals)
 Robbie  is a bodhran player hailing from Dublin. He won the all Ireland bodhran title in 2008 were he then went on to become a Full time musician. The art of the drum was passed on by his uncle. His powerfull modern style is one of the foundations of the sound of the band. 

 Tom Delany(Uilleann pipes and whistles)
With an Irish father and French mother, Tom gained his musicality through osmosis, born and raised in a rich environment of Irish music. Inspired by the traveling style of piping, his rhythmic playing is powerful and daring.

	 Deeply rooted in the tradition they produce an exciting landscape of tunes and lyrics that reflects their love for Irish traditional music without ignoring modernity and creativity.Their influences extend from Begley and Cooney, The Bothy Band ,Planxty, Brady and Irvine,Moving Hearts to Pink Floyd or Elvis.










Composer and producer of his commended solo album ‘If You Only Knew’, Aodán Coyne is a unique singer-songwriter talent from Ireland and a principal member of the acclaimed folk band ‘Socks in the Frying Pan’, a leading Irish traditional group on the U.S. and European festival scene. 

He has an in-depth understanding of arts administration and the application of social and interactive media for both small and large businesses in the world of music.

A knowledgeable and dedicated teacher specialising in solo performance, events management and ‘DADGAD’ guitar, Aodáns recent ventures include managing and collaborating on the Kitchen Sessions, a networking video project bringing together the best of Folk musicians from around Ireland.

Aodán has been recognized as one of Ireland's budding songwriter talents by the Irish Traditional Music Magazine and “A traditional singer who is capable of joining the ranks of the great Irish vocalists” by Folk World Magazine.

Paddy is one of Ireland's most in-demand banjo players and teachers. He currently plays with Roots/Bluegrass band Lands End, the Niall Toner Band, progressive folk band Pine Marten, Perisan/Irish crossover band Navá, ballad group Rake The Ashes, and gigs regularly in Ireland and the UK. His banjo playing has also been featured in the dance world, in works by Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre Company and the National Ballet of Ireland. Constantly pushing boundaries on his instrument, Paddy was the first 5 string banjo player to graduate from the University of Limerick’s MA in Traditional Music Programme.

FullSet have garnered much critical acclaim in recent years, even being compared to super groups such as Danú & Altan by respected Irish Music Magazine. Their meteoric rise in the music world was given a massive boost in 2011 when they were honoured by being announced as the winners of the RTÉ/RAAP Breakthrough Annual Music Bursary Award. FullSet subsequently went on to receive the “Best New Group Award” from well-respected Irish American News and were also named “Best Newcomer” in Bill Margeson’s Live Ireland Awards in 2012. 

Following the tremendous success of their debut album “Notes At Liberty”, the group’s profile was further raised with the release of their follow up title, “Notes After Dark” in 2013. Irish Music Magazine described it as having “so many good tracks, so much energy, a band in full control and having such fun yet well able to bring things down to a tearful pause”. “Notes After Dark” was also named Album of the Year in 2013 by US radio programme “Celtic Connections”. Most recently, FullSet was awarded "Top Traditional Group" by the Irish Music Association. 

FullSet comprises six of the most talented and versatile young musicians in the traditional Irish music scene today. Michael Harrison, on fiddle, creates a distinctive sound using original and colourful techniques. Martino Vacca is an exceptional uilleann piper and employs his mastery of this instrument in all pieces arranged by FullSet. Talented musician, Janine Redmond, on button accordion maintains a rich traditional style that is becoming ever so rare in traditional music today. Eamonn Moloney on bodhrán and Andy Meaney on guitar, effortlessly blend the music together with a sensitive yet driving accompaniment section. The emotive singing style of Marianne Knight completes the ensemble, which is guaranteed to captivate audiences of every generation.

To date FullSet have been featured on some of Ireland’s most prestigious TV and radio programmes including “The Late Late Show”, RTÉ’s Céilí House and TG4’s hugely popular Irish music series “Geantraí”. They have worked with Disney and have also performed at some of the most prestigious celtic and world music festivals across North America and Europe, some of which include the Copenhagen Irish Festival, Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Germany’s Irish Folk Festival Tour, Guinness Christmas Austria Tour, Lotus World Music & Arts Festival, Dublin Irish Festival, Kansas City Irish Fest, North Texas Irish Festival Milwaukee Irish Fest. They have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in folk and world music including Moya Brennan, Declan O’Rourke, Lúnasa, Carlos Núnez, Andy Irvine, Donal Lunny and Beoga. 

FullSet’s ability to showcase Irish music, song and dance of the highest quality, in an energetic and fun filled manner has proved immensely successful and they continue to thrill audiences around the world.
