Hailing from the beautiful Island of St.Vincent and the Grenadines. I migrated to the United States to pursue my love for music.
At a tender age of 9years I could recall growing up listening to Soca music and was influenced by legends such as Bob Marley, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson.
At ages 11, I discover my gift for Songwriting. I was actually in the yard playing and a bird defecated on my forehead. Some luck, but this funny incident would give birth to my first written song call "The Birds are flying high". That afternoon my friends and I laughed and sang that song all day.
Fast forward my dreams has emerged, with more than 500 live performances and a solid following both in the US and abroad I would say I am a force to reckon with in the Pop music Industry.

King Trendsetta Sound's love for music is responsible for our long history in the Soundsystem Culture. Each and every time we are called upon to provide musical vibes for the people, we consider it an honor. We pride ourselves on two things; music and the people.

Introduced to the bass guitar and drums from a young age, Timstion Straker has always had a love for Soca music and was influenced he says by Touch Band of St. VIncent and The Grenadines in the early years of his childhood. 

Enjoying playing covers of his favorite artists he continued 
with the drums but only as a hobby, working hard in New York City and as a father of 2 young children, it was difficult he says to find time in his busy schedule. 
Skip forward to early 2012 when something clicked in his life allowing him to seek out music as more than a hobby, finding the time to return to playing the bass guitar and drums and also now composing music. 

By 2014, feeling like he has rekindled his musical talents he returned to Soca - this time stepping from behind the scenes as a composer and going in front of the instruments as vocal artiste Timmi Striker. Like all artists,  Striker maintains he represents all kinds of music as music is a universal language, but he says, his Vincy roots has him deeply connected to Reggae and Soca. 

Growing up in St. Vincent and The Grenadines has exposed him to some of the best artists representing the region - from Trinidad to Jamaica, and he has a strong admiration for his roots and feels proud to be surrounded by so many talents coming out of the West Indies. In the future he would love an opportunity to sing with fellow Vincentian and Calypsonian legend Alston Becket. 

Working with contemporary soca artists such as Skinny Fabulous, Machel Montano and Kerwin Du Bois would also be an honor. To date, Striker has written and released Waistline, Green Yellow and Blue and On The Hour - all singles are receiving great reviews and gaining momentum as he gears up for Vincy Carnival 2014 where he will be introduced to his home country as an artist for the very first time. 

Already crossing off one of his bucket list items, Striker had the opportunity to work with Godfrey “Cherry” Ince, bass guitar player for Touch Band on two of his first singles and says "it was a dream come true". We believe many more dreams will be coming true for this rising Soca star.
