This is a string orchestration of a section from Flight.  I also have posted a string quintet of the same section of music - although it has less layers.  I began writing Flight about 10 years ago as a piano piece.  I eventually orchestrated it and in the process it morphed into a 34 minute piece that is posted.  This music is dedicated to my Mum.

Long ago when the first alien pioneers invented steam powered aviation spaceship technology, using engines powered by fossil fuels like coal and oil taken from there planets natural resources, much in the same way as the human population on planet earth is slowly eroding there precious resources mainly due to the same out of control neo-liberalism and materialistic capitalism, moneytizing the natural resources, draining the planet and affecting climate change and the natural order promoting a slow extinction across the species and our scientists have already warned us our planet and our futures look uncertain if we do not look deep into ourselfs to make fundamental changes across our societys! We need a new simple positive collective and natural way of thinking to sustain and share this planet and its resources in peace and unity it is owned by no one but can be shared by all! Longtime ago I had this recurring nightmare, a typical scene of being chased,  by something very frightening... 
I was running away from something very scary, down lanes, roads and passageways. In one of these dreams I ran so fast I had to jump over a fence that suddenly appeared in front of me,
 as I leapt over it I took off!  , I was flying!... flying through this city, 
 anyways, back to the point. Years later I had the nightmare again, but this time I was frightened so much I woke up ! 
 at that point I realised this was that old recurring nightmare, 
so I decided to go straight back to sleep and try to bring that nightmare back and go looking for what ever was chasing me remembering it was just a dream. And I did just that!
...in dreams you can be invincible :)
